  • I absolutely love my CRF300L. It's really got me enjoying motorcycling. This may sound counterintuitive but I'm enjoying it so much I'm already looking to upgrade to something else.

Anyway, long story short, the dealer I bought it from has offered to buy it back from me as they know its in great condition. They've offered me £4350 for it which is obviously less than I paid for it, but it's been worth the £500 I'd lose on it to reinvigorate my enjoyment of motorbikes.

If you wanted one without the dealer mark up, then I'd happily sell it at the price they've offered to buy it at (I'm not PXing with them btw).

It's a 71 plate, so still less than 2 years old, 3400 on the clock. Extras wise, it has a small rack on the back, an Acerbis skid plate fitted, a tail tidy and Oxford heated grips. It's very clean and rides great.

I'm based near Maidstone, not sure where you are obvs. Mileage may increase slightly as I'm using it still.

2 keys, full Honda service history etc. I've been averaging over 100mpg!

Here's a couple of pics. DM me it you want more pics or info.

    Cheers, Damian.

  • It is the image that is in the movies not necessarily the truth While Harley's in the past made more money from t shirt sales.

Harley's (in the US) used to be the gift bought or given when people were 40 or 50 can't remember which...but it was a thing for a while.

Not a particular Harley fan, but then I loved having a buell.

  • A little ride today...

  • Always thought the bikes were transported in vans so they could keep them spotless.

There is a whole custom scene where the bikes aren't road worth for the UK. But then you see people turn up on the bikes and park up in the area for judging.

  • Wish I had the money. Or a way to not see these posts as it makes me sad that I can't afford these

  • Is that you?

GS are cooler and make you 7 times more attractive

  • It is me. The only Vespa I'd have would be a GS or a Super Sport 180, but having owned both Vespa and Lambretta, Lammies are far superior...

Neither improve your chances though! Unless you like chatting to other middle aged men about year correct nyloc nuts...

  • I didn't state to whom.

Was more in to Vespas as that what was around that no one wanted or were cheap. Wish I'd kept my vespone, glad I've kept the ape I bought. Mainly as no one wanted an old battered ape.

Still have a soft spot for ciao and si for some nostalgic reason

  • What’s the view on the new Chinese/Thai built Lambrettas and Royal Alloys?

From what I can tell they’re the previous Vespa engine built under licence in a new, stronger frame dressed up as an old timer.

  • Don't do it. Don't sell don't upgrade. Enjoy it.

  • Metal panels are very very flimsy on the modern copied stuff. The older stuff original 60s and 70s stuff can be a bargain.

But lammy people do go out to Thai, Vietnam and other places and import stuff back to the UK.

  • I've heard the RA scooters are really poor quality, people are having to literally re-build them almost straight away

  • Thanks both.

  • Vietnam and Thai imports have a very very bad rep. Coke can shims, bent pistons, shitty electrics.

  • I'm absolutely smitten by this CFMoto Papio XO-1...
I definitely do not need one but I really want one. It's basically a Grom sized 125 but presumably will be pretty cheap.

  • Shut up.

    Take.

    My.

    Money.

  • It gets better... they've only launched in Asia so far but I see the price in Malaysia is only €1,788 so even factoring in getting shafted over this side of the world it's going to be pretty cheap!

  • Doesn't look as small as a grom which makes it just look like a small bike rather than a mini bike. Doesn't have the same appeal imo

  • There's not a lot in it!

  • 🤷 doesn't look as smol

  • Yeah it's odd, I'd imagine side by side they look a lot closer in size but it does look bigger in fairness! The Grom isn't as dinky in real life as you would think though...

Another noteworthy thing on the CFMoto is that it was designed by Kiska who do all of the KTM stuff and the European distributor for them is actually KTM (or some subsidiary).

  • As a previous owner of a Z750, I always fancied the Z125. Don't think they were sold over here

  • Oh that is very cool!

    Also...

    GSX-R50

  • It’s practically a gag bike, which makes me want one.
