I bought another one. $150 with tax and shipping but still super good value

Is it kit from the US?
-
• #23379
Pretty sure it’s shipped from China.

I've got these ones and they're excellent and Mesh... your be mad to buy Bluetooth unless you ride with a bunch of people who use Bluetooth and are set on not upgrading to Mesh...

The usual tip is to see what the majority of your riding mates use, Sena or Cardo as you want to be on the same. Then just get the one within budget that has mesh.

What helmet? I've just fitted a Sense ACS-10 to my Arai Quantic. The level of integration is quite impressive, even if the installation instructions are sheeeeeiiite.

Rush of blood and now own this 19 Street Scrambler.
Got it for a good price, although needs some attention as previous owner was not a bike enthusiast.
First things first, I need to remove the top box... practical but just does not look right.

Shoei Ex-Zero atm (wind noise is terrible) but tried on a Quantic the other day and VERY comfortable. My wallet needs to recover for a couple of months but will probably align a headset and helmet.

That makes sense, no point not being able to pair with others!

Looks really good, could be a good option for listening to music when out on my own

Yaaaaas. Big fan of these. Saw same one the other day with aftermarket pipes and it rumbled so very nicely.
Tyre change? Front looks a bit sad but can’t see properly.

Bloody hot out. Definitely missing the DR. CBR is like sitting on an oven plate when in town for more than 5 minutes.

Im thinking of selling the said zoomer on last page too if anyone is interested.

• #23392
How you doing? How's the bike? Hope all ok!

Thanks for asking. Ear infection has returned and failing to get in for an appt (and ENT referral is like, months away) so that’s making the situation even less enjoyable.
Things still ache, hip/arms/shoulders, so haven’t been able to ride the Sherco trials at all. Van has been out of commission until I fix the upper engine mount and see if that stops the turbo making an air-leak-siren sound.
DR has been reviewed for repair/write-off calculations. Just waiting to see what happens. Halfway through the 15 working day period waiting on response from 3rd party. Fingers crossed they acknowledge liability soon.
All in all, it’s been a month.

Sorry, sounds like a right time indeed. Feel for you. Hope the body feel better soon and things look up.

The tyre fitting circle of hell…
Hate fitting tyres.
Too cheap to pay the local shop.
Don’t want to buy proper tools because you might start fitting more tyres (see 1.)
Wrestle around in the dirt for two hours and pinch the new rear.
Pay shop.

I skip straight to pay shop though last time I did this, the BMW tech fucked the ABS sensor then tried to charge me for it...
This only happened because my go to guy had fucked his back. Heal up soon Chris!

Yeah, I’ve been doing my own since one tyre place took out my 90 buck Bridgestone Ultra Heavy duty tubes and replaced them with paper thin junk, without telling me. Pinched on trail second time out. You can’t win….
In other developments, I also noticed as part of my design / execution genius, you have to drop a pipe to take the rear wheel off the RD250. Groan.
I’ve been doing way too much spannering recently, thoroughly fed up with it.

It's a shame when this stage comes around... I've been the same lately, just keen to get out and enjoy doing activities rather than spattering them but I'm going to just try and leave everything alone until winter and then make a return.
Incidentally... Am I right in thinking that the perceived wisdom on puncture prevention on motorbikes seems to be pro-tubes... seems at odds with the mountain bike types love of tubeless?
-
• #23399
Yeah, it's frustrating to say the least.
For dirt bikes seems the gold standard is mousses, then tubeless, then ultra heavy tubes.
I wouldn't put a tube in a tyre that didn't need one. If you're really worried, throw a few ounces of slime in there, it works on anything other than big slashes.

Buy the bead breaker tools, the tyre soap and levers makes like easier and get the balancing kit too so you can balance them.
I will as well. That’s priced close to a set of aliexpress Bluetooth unit.
