If you’ve got narrow feet, they’ll fit nicely.
Where are you based? I’m in London a few times a week so can bring them in.

Nice, I’m in london on Wednesdays/Thursdays. How much are you after? I don’t actually know how wide my feet are- I’ll need to measure I guess

Is £100 fair?
Happy to bring them in if you just want to try them.
I’ll be in Wednesday and Thursday. Right outside Great Portland Street tube.

Good info, thanks - I'll have a look at those for sure!

Unfortunately no photographic evidence, but I had a pillion on the DR for a couple of hours. Drove her up and down the easy flat gravel/mud tracks with nice big puddles to soak our boots and jeans.
It was great fun kept it mostly under 30mph, and occasionally up to 40mph. She got in the swing of it, and cramped as the DR is 2-up it was great fun.

I don’t wish to brag, but definitely one of the best purchases I’ve ever had facilitated.

What CC have you got? There have been some bargain modern trials bikes floating around the past couple of weeks.

2016 Sherco ST300 standard setup with a slow throttle. It took a long while to get comfortable with just how much power is available; after a year and a half I’m still only using a fraction of the main jet.
Definitely recommend as modern as possible and not to be afraid of the 300’s. However the 200/250 size would be more goldilocks for sure.

I found myself throttling back to reduce petrol costs the other day. Never done this before. Did a 330 mile round trip up and down the A1 to collect a purchase. So boring. And so expensive. A measly 16 litres is nearly 30 quid!

Horrid, isn’t it?
My last fill-up on the CBR I was shocked at the poor economy. Maybe I’d been riding more enjoyably than I’d realised. It hurts how much E5 costs.

I don't want to work out the mpg of my K1100. Wouldn't be surprised if it's as bad as my 3.5 litre van.
There was a bit on the motorbike show the other day about some Lady Bikers. One had a Kwak H2, with a range of something like 40 miles, IIRC. She goes on a ride, allegedly with friends on other bikes, and has to stop at every filling station

Nice. Lighter flywheel will help you as well if that is the case.
I had a 280 Gas Gas which was fine. I ride AMCA expert and I'm riding a 250 Pinky at the moment so it's proof you don't need all the power. You have to be really good to necessitate the extra instant power for the big steps, climbs from a standstill.
I just want something lighter. Thinking an Evo Beta. I would like to try a Jotagas as they get good reviews but the spares scare me.

Ah wow so you’re well versed. Yea. Go TRS, Beta, GasGas and you’ll know what you’re getting.
I’d love a pinky.

TRS hold their value well. It seems to be the go to bike at the moment. Beta and Gas gas seem good value for money options.
You should try one they are really good. A few choice mods are they are great. Higher bars mainly and we Upgraded to a YSS shock. We have one with the pegs moved down and back but I don't have enough time on that one to know if it's a lot better.
I dropped my bike into a big pool of water trying to do a rock step in summer and flooded it. Had to borrow my mates brand new Sherco to finish as it was the last lap. The extra power of the Sherco was nice at times but the lower sump means you hit everything that a Pinky would glide over. Really rough or rocky ground gives it an advantage and they are also super forgiving as the geometry isn't as extreme as a modern. -

Any recommendations for waterproof textile trousers? I liked the look of Rukkas until I found out the price..!

Love my Dane laminated goretex. Totally waterproof, comfortable and lightweight.

Would overtrousers be of interest?

I use Oxford Montreal trousers. Not too expensive, good quality as well.
-
• #22396
I use Montreal as well. Although one pair is mostly shredded from greenlaning, it took some serious riding to damage them.

Second hand pairs can be worth it. I have a 15 yr old Rukka suit and last accident I had was in a second hand Rukka jacket that sustained terminal damage but saved me from any injuries in the jacket department.
Over many years of riding I've come to the conclusion that a lightweight 1 piece waterproof that you can wear over anything else when it rains is the best way to go. They won't last forever but it's the best way of staying dry.

I am in complete agreement with Airhead, buy second hand, Rukka will last a lifetime and then some. I bought a pair of BMW textile trousers, goretex brand waterproof (black, so not like some garish adventure suit) with all the D30 armour in it off ebay for £5 !! They are immense, like brand new. I also got a full set of Held Goretex jacket and trousers, with armour and thermal layer, worn, but in excellent condition, a set of Rausch gloves, brand new helmet for £130. Chucked the goretex in the wash with reproofing solution, like brand new. There are some serious bargains out there, tons of Rukka for buttons as well. FBM is a good place to look.

Just did my Mod 1 this morning, thankfully passed although riding out to Swindon I was close to hypothermia ffs. Turns out my instructor had the full rukka suit on, it does look great up close. I'm going to try it on at SBS and then see if I can grab a bargain somewhere.

Congrats, second in a couple of weeks or waiting for warmer weather?
How does the size come up? I’m usually an 8/8.5
