Stunning!
Did you have white jeans and desert boots on or camo shorts?
Sounds weird but I think wearing cool clobber is a must when riding a cool bike...!

Just back from Finland, so many bikes. Had no idea they had such a huge bike culture. Watching the WRC so lots of faffing about in remote ish woodland locations via dirt tracks, amazed at the number of folks taking their 600-1000cc sport bikes with normal decent tyres on down the tracks, and at decent speed, their dirt tracks are very well built TBF and these guys grow up on dirt roads.
Might do the TET up through Finland then back down Sweden or Norway now, before I thought would be pretty much solo up the entire of Finland, but a bit of chat, seems to be a super popular thing to do so you are never that far from other folk with tyre levers and beer :p

Will be testing this weekend. It’ll have to be same technique as yours.

Meh, who needs a book.. Just blow up lots and lots and lots of engines ;)
Mind you the costs for two stroke parts is quite high a great deal higher.

Gone are those days! I can barely afford to keep things maintained!
Got offered/given a ticket to BSB Thruxton this weekend. Trying to work out if I can make Saturday and Sunday. Only an hour away from Swindon so not awful to commute on the CBR.
Sod driving the van on weekend traffic!

This was the 80s/90s and 60-70s piaggio.

Modding one of these for speed....and altering the gearing.Jealous?

Absolutely.
I need another 50cc project in my life.

Why? Lots of the bikes got dumped/no longer used as rules changed and bikes had to have personal registration plates to be road legal.
Then lots of issues with bikes being impounded by the police if the bikes were modified and didn't have the right paperwork.
Looking at the prices now I couldn't justify that expense.

The Italian ex had a garage full of them in Pescara. Her dad seemed to accumulate two-wheel step through vehicles to get around to one day.
My mate (on his ass on the CG) might let us work on a couple Viva City scoot scoots just to see what the smaller modifications could do to an otherwise stock motor. They’re sat gathering dust.
If we find some dirt tyres for them, then maybe they become a “learn to fall off” bike…!

I've had a lot of fun over the years with older mopeds - currently a 1952 Trojan and a 1957 Brown - but living in the Clee Hills and getting older means I now need something a bit more competent.
Twenty years ago I had a Mobylette 40V - it went well but didn't seem quirky enough at the time, so I sold it. With hindsight I should have stored it as boxes of parts in the loft... -

It only took a whole year, and a second prompt on here, but I actually own a very fresh copy of the book now!
