Thank you. Boring I know, but enjoying inline 4 life a lot more than I previously remember.

Hard to read thought it seems like he’s taking it as well as could be expected.
Thanks for posting

Although things like this are statistically high with road racing, can't imagine what it's like to get your head round it.

I love how it looks, and hate how it sounds.
The original was too quiet and definitely held back some power. The Dominator arrived in record time from Poland but bloody hell it is awfully obnoxious.
Got this dB killer arriving tomorrow if all goes to plan. Hopefully I can get the bike loud but not annoying to ride.

The slime hasn't fixed my slow rear puncture and it's now not as slow as it was.
To keep costs down I planned to do what I did last time and take the wheel to my garage to get them to fit a new tube. However.....
.... My tyres are tubeless compatible, even if my rims aren't. I've wondered on and off about converting them for a while and then this popped up on my feed:
Kinda just want to sound out the idea really. If I'm taking the wheel off anyway for the sake of the cost of the sealant and valve core I feel like I may as well, right?
The downsides are:
- I don't have any tyre removal tools.
- I don't think a rear motorbike wheel will fit on my Park truing stand.
- I don't have access to compressed air.
Leavers and rim gaurds can be bought. Although it won't be comfortable, I've got a center stand, so can use that to evenly apply the sealant. Then I just take the tyre and rim to a fitter, right?
In terms of a shopping list does anyone have any recommendations for:
- tyre Levers and rim guards
- valve cores - is there anything special I need to know? I'd like angled ones as the valve holes are centred in spoked wheels, so a PITA to fill a garages
(ideally ones that don't brake the bank, but aren't shit)
Cheers
- I don't have any tyre removal tools.

The biggest setback to getting a good exhaust was finding a link pipe.
Unfortunately Dominator wouldn't sell me the link pipe on its own so it cost me £150 shipped* for the set. At least now if I get really frustrated, I have a link pipe and can shop for a less terrible can.
*to be fair to them, I ordered on Monday and the parcel arrived on Thursday AM. From Poland, that's faster than stuff I order from UK sellers.

I've got friends that run the tubeless system on their dirtbikes and like it - the principle advantage is they can run lower pressures which isn't a thing for road bikes. They're expensive too.
Maybe just ask the garage to fit a proper Michelin or Bridgestone HD tube to the loose wheels? There's a world of difference between good HD tubes and the shit you get most of the time.
Shame the slime didn't work!

I think I'll buy the bits to do the tubeless conversion plus a decent rear tube. Cost wise as I said the current tyres are tubeless, so the big cost isn't present.
It's only the 2nd puncture I've had in 5yrs so it's not like I'm getting them all the time. But I'd like to be able to use a plug rather than go through the faff of removing the rear wheel - which is a proper pain.

Saw a video on youtube last week that looked like exactly that, some 600cc sport bikes going for it for around 10 miles between two towns, absolutely on it the whole way, thought nah they must get picked up somewhere, locals enraged etc, but saw a few folk say the same as you, basically no one left in these places to be worth enforcing/bothering them etc.
Might be off to spain end of summer then, might need a faster bike with smooth tyres though.

I'm not sure you need a sports bike to have fun. There are mountains in most regions so lots of the roads are very squiggly. They're like B roads, but usually without pot holes. And in the dryer parts there aren't hedges, so you can see through all the corners. The hard part is finding interesting things to do in the evenings.

Spain is amazing for bikes, I've been all over the north and Pyrenees. Exactly as Nick describes, largely empty, well surfaced screamers. Not been there for 10+ years now but will add the cops can be fucking hardcore if they catch you up to no good. Generally, as long as you behave yourself around the villages and towns, you're golden. Best local food in Europe too.

And if you happen to be on a Hayabusa or something, you can go down to the central-ish plain and find miles of dead straight, completely empty, perfectly smooth 6 lane Autovia.

I'll check it out. But slime hasn't done anything so I think the tube is done.

This looks like an incredibly fun thing to do!

Touching down everything everywhere.
We refitted the exhaust to the AN400 and bodged in a baffle. Much improvement.

I need some new boots, are the "casual" style any cop?
Or should I just get a proper pair?
Had some Sidis a while back but the zip broke so am loath to spunk another 300 on a pair. -

Bought some (Mega’s is local to me). True to size, leather stretches some, definitely waterproof. Bargain at £50, not worth £165 rrp
Edit: also available in black

I know petrol and milk are more expensive these days, but didn't realise your average superbike is going to cost £20k.

Depends on your benchmark.
I've always been really impressed with my style martin(sp?) Indian boots. My mate has a pair of similar style tcx which are also decent.
Obviously neither offer the same protection as a proper pair with high shin protection.

They have a bit of enforcement for people growing it on public land. They're doing lots of ecological damage.....pollution with banned weedkillers, stealing so much water that rivers are drying up, you name it. The people who own the plants and equipment don't even go there, they just hire people with no green card and pay them slave wages.
