  • Apparently Millers Ecomax can get you through the test. It claims to 'drastically reduce CO2' https://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=15&M=91&Ct=EN&SbCt=BA_15_91_EN_20&spPage=2

  • You could also throw some Liqui-Moly shooters in the fuel. They make a fairly big difference on smaller capacity engines.

  • Vesrah. Feel like sending me some from out there?

@Jackytwoshoes that must have been a great time to spend lockdown. More pics abs close ups please.

  • Managed to hit 95* in third last night
Was getting up to speed and keeping up with the car in front, didn't realise my gear selection.
The Trumpet has bags of power, doesn't seem to run out, wasn't even near the red line

    *Internet bravado, officer.

  • Does cleaning the fuel system reduce CO2 emissions? I don't understand this stuff.

  • The Liqui Moly in the fuel burns crazy clean, and it also reduces all the residual stuff through the system. As far as I understand black magic, anyway.

  • No effect on ULEZ as ULEZ is about NOx.

  • Not sure that works as small cylinder bikes have quite small jets that block easily.

Didn't 5th gear do a fuel test thing on a car and redex seem to work the best. But that could have been because it was the first.

  • I do hope the oil was warm.

  • Never rated vesrah pads. Had a poor experience on pads fitted the the awesome high performance xj750 ;) The pads didn't last long and didn't have that great stopping power.

Also Versah claim to be oe suppliers but tokico, nissin and brembo come with there own made pads.

  • The Miller's Ecomax also claims drastic reduction in NOx

  • Intrigued how the product would reduce combustion chamber temperature. Yet do everything else.

  • Rolled the drz out, rear shock feels softer than it used to. Gas leak? What should static sag be as % of full?

  • Are you sure about what you mean by static sag?

  • Yes. Bike was set up properly before, so is static sag is way out then stands to reason that the shock has lost gas.

  • Gas bit is generally the damping mate, or controls the oil for the damping. Sag is set by spring preload.

  • You want about 100mm race sag - which is the difference between full extension and with you sat on the bike, measuring up from the rear axle. Do it cold.

  • So if I've lost gas, that wouldn't explain why it's suddenly gone soft? Ie if its just spring, then it shouldn't have gone more soft for no reason.

  • Anyway dynamic sag is 110mm. So seems fine. Weird. Just not ridden it in a while I guess.

  • I'd crank a little extra preload and bring that down a bit (raise the back end,) will help steering. But yeah. Spring rate and preload define the sag.

I always think my dirt bikes feel soft if I haven't sat on them in a while. If there's a problem, feeling soft is usually more to do with damping than springs.

  • Hola,

As the bike has been set up and no one has touched the preload then check if there is any oil on the rod..

  • Need that motorcycle gone, please 😭

  • I feel your pain

  • Quick spin this afternoon. Still the scariest 250ccs ever. Really, everyone should have one once. :)

  • I was in a bit of a funk after seeing a cheap, scratched up 1299s which sold before I could get my act together. Bit of blue smoke and braaaang blew that right away!
