Good post, TSK. These dates are going in my diary. Must do one or two of them.

I could probably get in on the Dorset Dash. I got friends that way.
-
• #29
I mean, I have friends who live there, not that I pick up friends by jumping from county to county.

Nah, that's just the 'Glossy photos of girls on bikes thread' making you say that.
i love that thread :)

I signed up for the Dorset Dash yesterday. Their website says its 27/28th June, not 19th?
Edit: 27/28 June 2009, duh. This year's ride is 19th June.

Something needs to go bump in the night.
The FNRttC have got a nice glossy brochure:

No we are not going to be spinning high night time speeds ... because it is a relaxed ride and I want to ride it relaxed. The Shorter hasn't got room for pannier racks and beer. Any of you go for it ... and I will go for you.

So the Dorset Dash is this weekend, weather is looking good, cloudy but clearing off as we go south. Everyone got their lights and rations sorted?
There are likely to be forumengers in a pub somewhere in Oxford after the Oxford Graduation Ride earlier in the day, so if anyone wants to come join us a bit earlier on you'll be more than welcome, I'm sure! I'll stick my number in the phone numbers thread...
Lucas, Pifko, MF, what time does your train get in? I'll come meet you at the station.

I am relaxed at 30kph.
lets get in at 7 ish, get some delicious food served by a stunningly attractive German waitress from Bavaria, who is studying anthropology at Oxford, in other words a super friendly-fraulein. -

Also relaxed at 0kph this morning after the Dorset Dash.

ha! you b.strd....
well it is definately now time for bed, after that 125 miler, loved the night, saw shooting stars first time in ages, the dawn with mist rising from english water meadows with cows dreamily watching was patented 'bucolic'
great bunch of people,
biggest shouts to Arducius, London- Oxford, Oxford Bournemouth within the same 24 hours period- Hardened TFU there.

TSK & SopaRiva, were you on the DD? Did I somehow talk to you and not make any forum connection, or did I just not talk to you? (there were a few periods where I was suffering from the cold and just pedalled along in silence, they may have lasted some time...)
6pt, I think I met you (well, someone mentioned planning to do it on a tandem) but again, didnt make the connection. Was good to meet you if it was you, otherwise it was good not to meet you, but to meet someone else.
Does that even make sense? Need sleep...

Oddly enough my legs weren't feeling too bad. A couple of points where I noticed the fatigue creeping in but then it faded again (thankfully). Was just gatting a bit hard to make it up the climbs towards the end though! -

Having had to miss all of the rides in the OP owing to injury, I've just posted this:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread47157.html
I'd still be interested in the Birmingham to Skegness idea, but I seem to remember that you were now not thinking of doing it (move and all).
