The emirates cable car looks good to me. Anybody been on it? Apart from that, I'd get pretty wasted in an alley somewhere.

Make sure my house hadn't been broken into. Check my car. Check my motorbike. Check my dodgy neighbours and visually let them know 'I'm still watching you peaches'.

Got a friend coming back from Colombia in two weeks and i'm off down to meet up with him and some others. Staying at a friends house who will be working on the Friday whilst i get there on the Thursday night. I'll probably head into town with him in the morning, he work's on Oxford Street.
Initial plan was to head to the Natural History Museum and then just wander about till i meet everyone.
Any other suggestions? Done all the usual stuff, just wanted to see if theres anything i've not thought of that could be a good alternative.

ride across London, go to Kew Gardens

Don't go near Oxford Street would be my advice. Saatchi Gallery is worth a look if you're going to be west.

Telly Savalas Looks at Birmingham - YouTube
Find a bench and watch this on your laptop.
Rest assured, Telly never really went to Brum.

If you do this, also take the lift to the top floor of One New Change shopping centre where there is a public terrace with a view straight across to St Paul's.

I am going to visit Boxpark(.co.uk) on a work-related trip this Thursday. Is there anything similar we should look at while we are here? Bar/shopping/whatever with neat and fresh-thinking ideas - especially for their outdoor areas. We are staying at The RE in Shoreditch, so preferably somewhere local to that.

What's your visit for? Village Underground's tube carriages on great eastern st are a pretty unique use of space/materials
-
• #223
The visit is for seeing Boxpark. We're flying in Thursday and back again Friday. I just figured we could squeeze in some more stuff in the same genre and Village Underground seems to fit perfectly. Thanks!

Isn't boxpark just some stores in shipping containers? Didn't xmas provide you with a rich and varied retail experience already? I'd get a burger from the Polish sounding place then go somewhere else to get drunk.
-

Yes, I think it is, but my boss' hard-on for shipping containers is big enough for him to fly 5 people to London and see it in the flesh. Being a bit more rational than him, I thought it would be a good idea to get some more sights in while we're there. I've choosen to stay a few more days in London and get pissed/see the regular sights...
Stratford obvs?
