  • they should all learn how to ride a bike...

  • Sure.

  • I have a copy of ChainSpotting on VHS. Free to a good home.

  • I've also got bundles of Props BMX videos

  • I remember watching dirty trick and stunning cunts (sorry, could't resist) for hours on end when I was younger. Have just ordered the VHS in a nostalgic haze, not sure if I even have a video player. Here's hoping.

  • Chainspotting, another fucking classic, you think I could get it from you dovvles?

  • And I've just remembered (what I think was) the soundtrack to Dirty Tricks, the Dust Junkies, am I right? I even bought their album!

YouTube- Dust Junkys - Non Stop Operation

  • I'm sure I've heard that track before so you're probably right there. No idea who they are.

  • They're the guys who did the music for Dirty Tricks and Cunning Stunts.

  • Hmm.. I think I heard their music on Dirty Tricks and Cunning Stunts..

  • Brilliant.

  • This video is pretty astonishing, no brakes and the bike control is incredible.

YouTube- Ali C - Inspired Bicycles - Brakeless Spring 2010

  • You'd think Inspired would be able to make a frame that had track ends, their bikes seem to all have tensioners?

I would be flat on my back within seconds of trying any of that though!

  • Yeah not sure why they don't but as my bro said two of the best street riders use them and must find vert drops ok, he also thinks they are in a way trying to stay a little more traditional witha frame that is still possible to run gears.

  • 26inch Trial competitions rules dictate that the bike must have a minimum of 6 gears and a seat.

24inch bikes aren't allowed for competition use but as they use a 135mm rear end it makes sense to be able to use King and Hope hubs.

Addtionally, when riding trials the wheel takes a lot of hits from angles whcih would shift a wheel in a horizontal slot, expecially when considering the amount of time balancing and landing on the back wheel. Having vertical drops means that the wheel is held in a more stable (ie less adjustable) position.

  • thanks Object, makes sense. I just dislike chain tensioners for some reason!

  • Anyone got a really cheap/free trials bike (20 or 26) they want to get rid of? Fancy giving it ago and can't quite justify getting a norco manifesto or similar.
Condition/quality unimportant as long as it works. The more old school the better.
