I swam in the Serpentine in mid-late October, had to get out after about 15 mins, it was so cold, chattering teeth and started to feel a bit dizzy.

I just had a look at the flyer- I like the optimism behind "swimming from 12-1", given that I would imagine most people would get in, do a length and then flee to the changing room.
