some sort of gay roadie (/lame 90s mountain bike magazine joke).
Don't worry there are still plenty of people for who still hold this view.

Luci, done deal.
Tommy, I'm aware of that but I haven't read a mountian biking magazine since the 90s. -

Old school meets new school...
How about proper old school that'd get MrSmyth turning in his grave? (it's an 1983 Specialized Stumpjumper)

Commuting on a 29 er
One of the more stupid things I have done recently. It's exhausting, hard work and slow. So will have to do loads more to get fitter. Additionally it's a much longer route to the office and I arrive covered in mud.
So it's several degrees of win and I get to bounce around and giggle to myself as I splash through puddles like a kid in wellies.
My legs ache in a good way. Can't wait for this evening, got to go all over london, Physio after work in Brixton, meeting friend in Kingston and then back alon the Thames to Kew after that.

Have just been told lacing disc wheels is diff to road wheels.
And that shimano is the gospel on such things
This link was quite useful

You really shouldn't have posted that. A rideable Ripper at what seems like a very good price (£370) - must resist. And for once it is a 29er where the wheels don't look too big for the bike.
