That's so low and very precise, was thinking like 40 or 50 ish. Going to feel so strange. I pump the tyres on my mtb beater to the max, but i only use it on the road.

I get on well with around 37 psi on the rear and 32 psi on the front. Those running tubeless will most likely go a fair bit lower than that.
Wow, may I ask how much you weigh?
I generally ran about the same on my 29er.

99kg at the moment, but hopefully a couple less after the Epping rides.
I ride lighter than I am ;-)

Shit Pete that's already really light for how tall you are.
I'm a skinny six one and I weigh 79kg at the minute.

I'm pushing the higher end of healthy on the BMI scale ( although that's not without its faults ) and not exactly hench, so the little weight that I'd like to shift is unnecessary fat.

BMI is a load of bollocks frankly, especially for taller people. Body fat % is a much better measurement in your case. If you're "healthy" by BMI standards considering your height, i'd wager that your body fat % is already quite low.

I figured as much. Would be nice to carry a little less up the hills though :-)

Don't shift the weight, turn it into muscle :)

My BMI is 24.5 so Apparently I'm pushing being overweight but I'm definitely not fat.

^ I've checked on two different calculators and mine is around 24.5
Yours is about 23.0
-
• #3937
I'm 22.5, body fat was around 12% last time I checked, and i'm a short arse.

Mine is 30, and I ha e a 32 inch waist.
The chart says I'm borderline clinically obese. But I'm actually clinically short.
The great thing about a low and tight pattern tread like SB8 is that pressure is flexible. On a semi slick, if you get it slightly wrong they such.

Actually I'm on a diet. Might have gone down some.

I have been meaning to give the Honzo a little review. Excuse my poor photo skills and crap camera.

I have changed the BB7's out to SLX and replaced the saddle as well. I will get round to changing the tyres soon.I really really enjoy riding this bike. There not many climbs where I cycle and I find them boring so I can't really comment on that part.
Pro's
I can ride it over it anything and it's so easy to flick into berms and over jumps.
Can do mad bunnyhopz
It jumps really well and the shorter chainstays make it much easier to manual over rocks, roots, drops etc.
I can't feel any flex in the frame. Paired with RCT3 forks it absorbs everything.
No pedal strikesSlight negative I suppose:
I was never building this worried on weight but the frame is quite chunky and heavy. Not many light builds have been made with this frame.I have an issue doing smaller jumps/kickers. I end up having two contact points at the same time. I can overcome it but it becomes annoying sometimes as it can slow you down. Mad paint skillz show this.

Cheers for the review .A. - Definitely looks tempting enough to keep on the ( increasingly long ) shortlist :-)

Well finally got my eldest Singular Swift finished this evening and he can take it for a shakedown tomorrow. This is an XL frame which I got from Barenecessities here and we're very happy. Saddle will need to go up and back for the lanky git but he can do that himself, I needed it lower so that I could test as I went along. Build is fairly basic pending future upgrades but he can wear this stuff out first. Hopefully I've got this link right for the picture:-

Oh and if anyone is on the lookout for a KM frameset to build up I have one going size large in battleship grey, it's as new.

ha, that's the one, no idea how many times I've had that explained to me on various forums....I seem to have some sort of mental block on remembering it.
Still it's built up into a very solid looking beast and, when some new wheels arrive, I have a Swift in large to build up ready for my youngest. No rush on that one as he's not big enough for it yet but it won't be long if his brothers are anything to go by. That's why I had the KM frame by the way but the Swift is just a classier looking ride.
