That's pretty much the geo of the inbred I think although the TT feels way shorter for some reason.

• #3878
^ You do have a stubby little stem on there though.

• #3879
That is true, I just got it like that and left it.

Ah, I didn't realise it was an XL. For some reason I thought it was an 18''. Looking at Inbred and Swift geo tables they look to be about 3/4cm too long in the top tube which means running a 60/70mm stem respectively which will be a little short I think. Cheers both of you, I'm not in any huge rush to change seeing as my bike's at home and I'm at uni, but if they're both still available when I get round to changing I'll have another think.

I would definitly plan to run a short stem, and wide ass bars. It is the future I tell ye.

^^ You're on the Singletrack forum aren't you. I would have thought Swifts would come up for sale fairly regularly over there?

I thought that myself until I rode it, you're welcome to have a go if you're ever down in London.

760mm bro :)

I'm still on a 90mm stem, but have recently changed the bars from 680mm to some nice low rise 710mm Easton Havens.

My stem is 45mm I think.

760mm bro :)
Hmm, maybe on a different kind of bike.

Any mtb stem shorter than 130mm feels a bit modern to me ;-)

I was planning on something in between my Ragley (60/740) and my old XTC (100/580) in terms of cockpit, probably something like an 80/90mm stem with 710mm bars. There's a large Swift on STW at the moment but I can't persuade the guy to split it and it's got an Alfine so I'm not interested in the whole bike.

Sam ( of Singular ) sometimes has frames going cheaper due to very small defects in the powdercoat, or slight cosmetic damage from shipping. Might be worth asking him. He's very helpful.

Not exactly 29er but I'm thinking of ordering a load of these.

While they're on sale if anyone wants to hop in on my order to save on postage.

Good find, though I'd have to buy a cross bike to put them on.....
*starts looking at cross bikes again.

Winter roadbike tyres?
Or get a gangsta.

You know you want one.

All this on one conversation, they tend to have long top tubes and are designed for short stems. They also size up on the big side so Indras XL is gonna be a proper whopper. I'd ride before you buy with on one mtbs

hmmm. 680mm. I have tiny dwarf arms though.

I'm on an effective 60/70. But its a xc set-up. I'd go shorter on the more aggressive fatbike. If the fecking lefty wasnt in the way.

Awesome guy.

Nanos arrived, as did the DMR chain tugs.
Here is my old set-up. The tensioners bend outwards under force, causing tyre rub with the fat tyre I had before, and even belt slippage. Mad annoying.
The new tensioners fit around the end of the drop-outs, so cant move. Seem a thousand times more solid.

Quite surprised that you put up with that for so long. It'd drive me barmy.

It seemed to be getting worse. I could dial in the tension, set the tenion bolts, crank down the hub bolts, and it'd be fine for a while. But this 'while' was getting shorter and shorter.
Just rode it to work. Felt real solid, and the rear tyre felt more responsive than the fatter tyre I took off. At least on the bit of dry trail I tried.

^ If that chain tug is doing its job properly then you could switch the bolted axle on your pro 2 to a quick release.
Save some weight ;-)
XL Swift geo.
