• Want to start fgfs does anyone have a 26 build. I don't want just a frame.
What's to stop someone putting a fixed hub on a 26 dirt jump frame?

  • Thought I'd ask here, I need to buy a new cog for a charge scissor, where should I be looking?

Also seriously impressed with the strength of this thing, it's taken a serious beating today.

  • ^^ Low standover.
Obviously standing up and pedalling all the time is a pain in the arse.

Just means you need mega seatpost

  • Joss! What cog do I need?

It's currently on 81gi, my knees just can't take trying to wheelie that.

  • What size front do you have?
Try get it down to like 70GI

  • I know where to be I just can't find one of these mini cogs :(

Currently 28/10 with 2.2 inch tyres

  • Drop down to 25/10 that's what I run.

  • I'll see what i have.
    I think i may have a 12 or 13 lying around somewhere

  • That'd be awesome man, cheers!

  • it is just a standard threaded hub right?

  • Nope :( has tiny threads!

  • ah... i think I have an old all city 13t back at me mums..
    but standard fg thread

  • Hi guys ive had a bit of trouble with wheels recently, I ride a 2011 se draft lite and have got to the point where I want to replace the wheels which were standard ones which came with the bike when I brought it. Ive been told the is pretty basic and nothing speacial but I still love it! But as the bike is standard is there much buying expensive wheels? Any advice on how much I should spend? And any ideas on what to look at? Cheers for any advice
Ps ive been looking at some back wheels they have blb flip flop hubs with velocity rims about 90 quid so any opinion and advice would be great

  • there is always a need to buy good wheels, especially for FGFS! The more you spend in the right places the longer they will last. BLB freestyle hubs are good and are cheap. Are you going for 26" or 700c?

  • 700c is what im running

  • anyone tell me what the a2c measurement is on a BLB BLT fork?

  • what gearing should i start with ?

  • Around 67GI is the recommended ratios, so something like 48/19, 46/18, 44/17 etc.

  • For fixed freestyle?

  • Whoop, didn't clock the topic.

  • got my eye on a medium pfix. I'm skinny and about 5,11 will medium b ok? is it ok to commute bout 2/3miles?

  • I'm 5'10 and ride a small, buy yourself a long seatpost if you're going to commute though, as its a freestyle bike and not a commuter

  • my 2013 pfix has these big grey "pfix" stickers wrapped around the tt, dt and forks, i can't really peel it off easily; any tips? trying to black it out

  • Hair dryer them to heat the glue then pick away.

  • ^ what this guy said then use a tissue with nail varnish remover on to remove any sticky residue (if any)
