Managed literally 1 lap. Down to about 7mph in the open stretch of Priory lane before Robin Hood gate, not much better going out through Richmond or Hampton either but one or 2 nice gusts of tailwind for the final 10miles just in time before I started cramping up.
Riding in to a 30-something mph crosswind is.... interesting.

Me and Dropout were out in that wind in the Surrey Hills. Think we were quite lucky in that we didn't get it too much in the face.
I'm off for some moderately gentle fixed Richmond Park laps in an hour or so if anybody is interested. I'll be starting at Roehampton Gate.
No bertie big bollocks stuff as my legs are shot from a week of double digit runs and hill climbs.

Discovered that going down Westerham the other day, whilst a white van tried over-taking at 40mph. New pants please.

Looks a bit breezy out there now so not really looking forward to this afternoon's excursion (3:30 from elmers end, probably just cudham north and back in as got a bit of a cold)
Is that a good ride - cudham? Would cudham, knockholt, halstead be good destination for a shortish round trip?
Other people can answer too!

Now then. Starting Monday I'm going for a ride every day for 7 days. Wednesday I'm going with Kat and you're not invited. Apart from that every morning from Monday 24 to Sunday 30, I'll be going for a ride and glad of company.
Leaving before 9am and definitely getting home before lunch so no Brighton, Herne Bay kind of distances. Think 40 mile loops into Kent or Surrey, or other days laps of Richmond Park (not weekend!). Or I'll happily tag along on someone else's plans as long as I'm home by lunchtime.
If you're looking to train close to threshold, one-gel-per-hour, keep looking! I reckon these will be <18mph on the flat.

Anyone fancy a ride from east/central into the sticks and back again? Thinking 50-60 miles tomorrow.

^^^^my week of morning rides going well so far :)
Have company for tomoro and thurs. On my own for Friday as of yet, planning 40 miles SE London > Kent > SE London if anyone's fancies joining. But depending on how badly 6pt breaks me on thurs it might be a slow affair.
Saturday going to Surrey hills with Crop, still open for extras. Sunday haven't decided but might be a short one as Gent-Wevgem is bound to disrupt my afternoon's work -

I could barely pedal to work today. This cold is killing me. Have negotiated things down with Hovis tomorrow, might just take Thursday off. Sorry dude.
