    21 December - shortest day

    The Vigilante Ride

    BlueQuinn to lead off alone as a lure to the bad people, the rest of us follow some distance behind ready to pounce on the bad people once they attack BlueQuinn or drift off to the pub depending on the weather.

    I can't help feeling that there is a downside to this plan.

    Can we send Lynx instead?

  • They will be wearing track suits- easy.

    Grap, strip, throw in canal, job done.

    Would be even easier if one was secretly a stripper trainee with velcro lined track suits.

  • not that this is ever going to happen, but if you were gonna chuck someone in the canal, leave their clothes on, they will smell like cold shit all the way home. And hopefully catch Weil's disease.

  • What if they can't swim, could you be charged for attempted murder?

    Oh noes.

  • fncking let them drown

  • With the amount of jewellery some of them wear & how big they are, they probably would.

  • Canals are about 3' 6" deep so you only get done for attempted murder if the mugger was a midget.

  • Ha! Are you sure they're 3 ft deep?!

  • Simple solution - more bobbies.

    always the same easy answer but oh no, more CCTV instead.

  • Ha! Are you sure they're 3 ft deep?!

    We could throw you in and find out hun ;p

    Wear a striped top so we have somewhere to mark the measurements on ;p

  • Ha, thanks, but no thanks, Im sure there's someone else who's 5"5 too or something...

  • 5 inches 5??

    You've been at the Baileys/Madeira/WKD/Cider?Special Brew again haven't you ;p

  • Damnit, caught redhanded

    Im five foot five!

  • So am I

    Around the waist lol

  • there looking for a Father Christmas at Westfield!!!

  • ^ hahaha! So close to you eh Diable, not far from West drinks ;)

    P.s it's they're*

  • never had a prob on the canal, bar once when a group of about 4 youthoof approached with a menacing reputation, imposed on me from a couple of riders going the other way, they were having a bit of a luagh (innit), lifting ppls bicycles up - threatening to shove them into the canal, harmless in the end;

    oh, there was another time when there was almost a fight/fistiecuffs/at least physical-pushing between a 'lycra-lout' and someone else, oh actually maybe this wasn't involving a lycra lout, yeh- it diodn't (thinking of some Eve. Std. sacre-story).. it was between somone amped on anger looks a little ruffian;

    another time, some toss-pot thought i should get out of his way using the eyes in the back of my head;

    seen someone swiomming in the canal - colleague told me the chap was probably trying to find something that hd fallenm in!

    yeh - pretty harmless the canal in summary,

    although tonight i did see an intimidating looking (and sounding, "you got a light") gang of about 5/6 near where the other canal meets the River LEa on way to the Wick(ed)!

    lost one of my lights on this trip, one of those Knog things - tied it too loosley to the seat pole.

    This is almost like English.

    I blame his teacher...

  • Ha! Are you sure they're 3 ft deep?!

    Yep, even shallower in some places (non-towpath side) it's quite easy to ground a boat if you go too close to the edge. Especially as British Waterways haven't got the funding to keep them properly dredged.

    Howrad is a teacher.

  • Howrad is a teacher.

    Tsk. I blame his teacher...
