coco de mere in south kensington make a beautiful massager. from sustainable wood,,,,i would have you know.
currently out of stock though. £135 when available.
they also have a lovely display of antique ones made of carved jade and ivory, although i think these might be for display.

    really?

  • Not saying it's not beautifully crafted, but i'm sure ive seen similar looking objects inserted into unnatural places.

    hmmp.

  • Sorry i did miss something,.

    Brain not engaged today.

  • I would advise against wooden bike parts in much the same way that I would advise against a wooden car.

  • i have a pair of ezra at fastboy cycles bars - i think he only ever made 10 for beta testers (i was one) and he never sold a pair officially to anyone - he now only makes them when he does a full build for someone as he can't guarantee the strength

after all the testers gave their feedback we decided it wouldn't be worth risking - they flex a fair amount and just don't feel safe + in a crash there is a risk they could harpoon you and make you die.

    ;)

Do you have any end-on shots of your bars? Just wondering if anyone's actually taken the time to ensure correct grain direction before deciding they're too flexy

  • not handy, they're at home - but i can bring em out some night jammy, let us know when you are in leeds and you can try them! (they flex!)

  • Good news. I'll be back over in the new year

  • and p.s ezra tried a few grain directions i believe on his first versions
