It certainly wasn't fast the way I skied it, very steep though! It's a relatively easy climb and we dropped on the shoulder of dog leg rather than from the very top.

Andermatt and Oberwald this weekend. The off-piste is heavily tracked but still fairly fluffy.

Supposed to be heading back to airport now, but the sun's out and I'm enjoying my XC skiing. Time to book a new flight for tomorrow.

Those tracks look deep. What style do you prefer?

Skating for us. That's me in the photo, waddling along like a fat duck on skis.

Well youre upright and look like you’re in control. Well done. It’s quite a beautiful feeling when you get a rhythm going. Love it.

I'd love to. Unlikely though.

I went a few weeks ago to Glenshee. It was decent. Not as cheap as you might hope but nice to fit a skiing trip into a normal weekend

That's the least bleak I've seen it for ages.

How about this; top of a run.
I did the black route but because it was facing into the wind (or something) I could literally see nothing except a single pole a few hundred meters away. I'd hesitate to call it a whiteout but it wasn't far off

I need some new trousers, I've lost a load of weight since I last went skiing a few years ago. Not looking to spend a huge amount but struggling to find anything on eBay etc. What are some decent budget brands? What should I avoid? What should I be looking for?

I bought north face freedom pants, they are cheap (well I paid $85) and do the job

I keep looking at getting Arc'Teryx but the pant cost is insane

Half price arcteryx pants at sportspursuit...
Chapeau, Bec des Rosses is srs bznz. Was it as fast as it's known for being? That's a bucket lister that's probably a few years away from me yet. Got a trip to La Grave in the pipeline this year, can't wait
