Anyone know what this means from easyjet? Not sure if cancelled or is it just bad choice of colours and format

Oh, thanks. Bit of an anti climax as was hoping for a cancelled flight and a refund. Guess just have to book some random flight 6m in the future

I had to rebook a Norwegian flight. Off to Paris in June unless the world goes under before

unless the world goes under before
Or, way more likely, Norwegian goes under before.

Booked in for a mid Jan ski trip.
Fingers crossed -

My Australia tickets have been credited to my BA account, should I be able to fly anywhere in the next six months. I wonder if the airline loyalty schemes will all be suspended for this crisis? Going to be a lot of pissed off people otherwise.

Straight to the golf club thread...

My gold lapsed last week and I'm back down to blue. Fml.

Hah, peasant. I'm still living the Bronze dream. Not quite sure what it gets me, mind you. Nothing of any value I suspect.

I think I calculated that my company spent £30,000 on tickets for me in a single year to get to gold. Gold status basically entitled me to use lounges at other airports and first class lounges at Heathrow. Most definitely a massive fuck you considering the money involved. Not sure why people get so funny about it.
Edited because I posted a figure including hotel stays

I always fly economy for work- it’s functionally impossible for me to get gold.
I’ve been silver for six or so years though and it is useful, gives free food, somewhere to relax and do some work/read your book.

Apparently, there are far more gold members than silver or bronze. Go figure.

Speaking of memberships. Paying £25 or so to get lounge access is prob the best £25 you can spend at many airports, at least Copenhagen. If you’re having a pint and some food you’ll save money while avoiding the crowds

Meh. A friend got us in to the BA Galleries First lounge at LHR T5 for our boys ski trip in Feb.
Based on that experience £25 would have been best spent elsewhere in the airport. Average food, quite crowded and filled with some of the most objectionable entitled cunts I've ever had the misfortune of being near.

Imagine how bad the Concorde Room is :D

He could only get one of us in there but his "Gold Card with Guest List" could get 4 of us into the Galleries First Lounge.
He's since lost the "Guest List" part and is now down to bog standard "Gold". My heart bleeds for him.

so I have United status, but realized it doesn't really bring any value to me
- when I fly personally I fly business class, so have lounge etc.. access anyway
- when I fly for work, I'm on expenses so just go to restaurants at the airport...
The "upgrades" basically never happen, since SFO is a United hub and a billion people have the highest level of status, i end up like 55 in a list of 100 for the 2 seats available

This entire thread should just be merged with the Golf Club thread.

Classic skiers. Whereas the snowboard thread is "how can I repair my 15 year old trousers"
-
• #1297
:)
My kinda sport
(if I liked snow and falling over a lot, I mean) -
• #1298
Dont knock it! those 15 yr old baggy snowboard trousers actually now fit me the way they were meant to.
Clearly age has a shrinking effect on clothes.... -
• #1299
Hey I'll have you know my trousers are only 2 years old ;)

You're not wrong.
My friend Barney refused to buy new snowboard boots even when they had to be held together with tape. It was only when he had a boot failure that broke his ankle that he gave in.
Still rides in 15 to 20 year old clothes, despite the fact that he's constantly absolutely fucking frozen and wet through with sweat because of the shitty appropriateness of twenty year old cheap to begin with snow kit that is covered in patches.
Truth be told, he's a fucking plonker. Spends all this time and money on snowboarding holidays and then spends the whole of it uncomfortable and cold because he wants to make some sort of point that nobody cares about.
Don't get me started on his board. I'm surprised it doesn't snap when he gets on it.
It's not because he's skint either. He's a pretty big time agricultural landlord in the Midlands with a lot of property and land.
I've been under a helicopter, with a dislocated shoulder.
My main memory of the experience was how intensely cold it was.
