Just wanted to say that even though I never actually met Paul I can see the wonderful impact he's had on the people that I am close to. The love expressed in this thread is truly spectacular.
Warms my heart - one person can change so many peoples worlds for the better. RIP x -

I rode back from football last night and took the route fiddy and i used to take to and from Norths.
I'd lead out on the first leg and him the second. his route was one of the most confusing and ilegal you could take, one ways pavements, markets, shops, fag breaks, bus lanes, red light jumping, blind alleys the job lot!!
on my leg i'd always drop him at the junction leading up to primrose hill. Fiddy would see the hill and put his head down and miss the first left turn. taking the front i could give him the line.Last night i naturally put my footdown and as i got to the junction leaned back and shouted "Ready!"
I was grinning ear to ear for the entire ride back. i looked a tool and he would be laughing his cock off. top man
It would be nice to pull together some of these uplifting posts and great stories about Paul and get them into a book for his big day. i would love to see them all, along with other stories that get added by all those others that shared his life
Shoarthing - thank you for the lovely post

Gobsmacked.
Havn't been checking here much since the move and have just read all this.I first met paul when I sold him this... (He'd appreciate the image I'm sure)
...three years ago that he was buying for a friend.
He was instantly lovely and had a cup of tea with me and my girlfriend, Anna.
I couldn't get over the cuts and bruises all over his face which he explained as a 'little bump'.
After about half an hour he bid us farewell and proceeded to strap 2 wheels and everything but the frame on his back and set off down the road on what I'm sure wasn't a quick trip. We were in Whitechapel.Anna and I looked at each other in awe.
This truly saddened me to read what had happened but all the amazing effort and love from the forum has made me smile.
R.I.P Fiddy.
An amazing man. -

And they say there's no love in the world? I've just caught up with this. Seen it popping up at the top of "todays posts" and followed the progression of his days but never really wanted to read about the deterioration of his condition. I never met the him personally, but the forum (particularly DJ, Object and too many others to name) has been a lifeline for this guy.
As I said before I never had the pleasure, but all 890 posts and the countless PM's that have flown to and fro show a demonsration of true love for him.
If there was a little more peace, love and empathy floating around the world will be a better place.
R.I.P. Paul

I can't emphasise how important it is to help out if you are able to.
Send money, add your name, let's get this done and do the right thing for Paul and those who have helped out (who risk footing the bill if we collectively don't help).
A paypal account is being run by another member of LFGSS (Cheevil) the email address for Paypal is chithai@mac.com to which donations can be made.
Donations list:
- Velocio - £20
Leave the PayPal address when you quote the list so that the next person gets the deal, donates and extends the list.
