Remember all, this is the Man who rode to Milton Keens then from there to Stonehenge in a 160mile all day and all night ride, with a broken hip! Stay Strong you stuborn old bastard!
god yeah, pretty much 20 hours on his bike, then getting lost about 5 miles from the end. us lot falling asleep and fiddy still riding around the old Army land on his tod. before making it back to the house, having a cup of tea, eating an entire battenburg cake he carried the whole day then passing out in the middle of the floor.
It makes me chuckle every time.. -

Only just saw this. Very sorry to hear you're unwell Paul.
Only met the man a handful of times but he made me laugh every time I did. Last time at Bright Times 4 he was obvioulsy bored by a conversation I was having with Pajamas and butted in: "Anyway, enough of that, I want to talk about meeeee!"
Haha! Best wishes fella.
Al.
This is a genius quote, reminiscent of Partridge!

I saw Paul earlier today. He was in good spirits (not that discovering this is in any way unusual). He's concentrating on getting his energy back. Another friend and former neighbour of his came to visit, as well. He's hoping to be out before Christmas. Let's wish him all the best. It was good to see him.

A truly beautiful and sincere man that ever I have had the pleasure of knowing.
Afternoon drinking in The Pony together during the summertime; annoying people with our bikes in the way of the seating and then later having the closet fixie-skidders coming to us and ALWAYS asking about HIS bikes! Git.
Riding to Norths, Dunwich, Brighton, Richmond Park, Surrey Hills, Camberly, pub crawling all the way in full lycra smoking heavily at every stop, getting dodgy looks from people. Yet always having people coming over to talk to us about HIS bike always piss.... erm, made me feel very happy.
One of the people I've known in my life that I can call a true friend, never wanting anything from me but always there to give and be relied upon. Always there with a pint to offer and an ear to lend in times of need.
I love you buddy.
