i learned about this yesterday, and have been thinking about fiddy non stop since then, didn't see the thread til just now. paul, you were one of the ones who made me feel like i had a family in london, and your friendship and the amazing adventures we've had together mean so much to me. stay strong, darlin'!

i've been away just got back and it has been sad to hear about paul just now..it's good to see some peeps have been on it for him (well done chaps). I've not seen him properly for ages due to polo and last couple of months he has been harder to catch.

Hope u get back on your feet soon paul...anything you need just give us shout.

the cast of characters and supporters is much greater than just pigfarmer, object and myself

VB, cliveo, greasy, cake, trackend (dropout), murtle and fruitbat to name a few

there are also friends from outside the forum - stefano, angi and jay are names i remember

the hospital staff have been brilliant with Paul and spend all day attending to him and ensuring his comfort

the messages of love and support add huge cheer

this forum is amazing in terms of the level of moral and practical support, everyone who has been asked to help has done so without question and willingly. its truly appreciated

finally it must be said that Fiddy with his calm pragmatism and cheerfulness in the face of all this is utterly inspirational

Back from being away from the forum for a bit, and obviously really bad to read this. Paul, I'm sure, won't know me from adam, but I've bumped into him now and then, at EHBP and North Drinks, and always a delight to have a chat with.

Great to hear that the hospital staff have been so good. What can I say, but hang in there. We're all rooting for you.
