Heyo, I've been riding a steamroller for about 3 months now and I love it! Powerful and mostly rather comfortable, buuuutttt I have one problem. My saddle never seems to sit far enough back. On harder edged saddles this means a certain discomfort on right at the edge of my BUM. It also might be the cause of my slight lower back pain. It is a size 62 seat tube with 17.5 mm offset seatpost. Anyone else had any similar problems with any kind of bikes?

Wow, and the roller is like one of the longest fixed gear bikes.. My a 62 was way too long for me.
How longs your stem? Do you feel like you want to scoot back to change the angle your legs are pedaling at, or to get further away from the bars/stretch your back?

Pic of the bike?

Here is a kind of crappy photo of my sweet ride. Complete with matching rucksack and helmet.
My stem is 90mm I do believe. I'm pretty tall though, 195cm, it says so on my passport hehe. Yeah, I've gotten used to riding now but previously I wanted to scoot backwards for my leg angle.
P.s. I got excited when t0-ster replied because I spent the last couple of days lusting over his stable of bikes.

Frame looks a tad big no?

That saddle is definitely not level.
Try and get it horizontal and you won't be sliding forward and trying to overcompensate, and it might get more comfortable.

Yeh - try level out the saddle dude

How can you tell that without seeing a picture of me?

Just dictates that your siting relatively still/better position over the BB instead of now, where you’ll be being pushed forward. Which will mean pain :) get a bike fit :)

We don’t need to, saddle nose pointing down= sliding forward.

This is really spot on, a little front rack and you have the perfect commuter!

Nice, why go for a Disc Trucker fork over a carbon disc alternative just out of interest?
