Putting sleeves up is a bit of a tricky one, I reckon... I've got a few doctored record sleeves by Australian artist @freakstreeet... They're super fun, just crappy charity shop rejects with his artwork on them...
I used to have the Frank Frost LP sleeve up on the wall, only because that's got a cool story behind it... The LP itself was never pressed, so for years Sam Phillips used the sleeves as packing material, such as great sleeve! I need to get that one up on the wall again...

I don't take many of my own room because I get to see it a lot! Had to go back a while for this one. Weird though that I only have 12 not 16, was sure there were 4 across from memory!!

Might get something up with command strips and see what the response is like
I'd be wary of trusting Command strips - my Metallica frame is currently broken with the glass smashed because of them failing as well as another mounted picture. I'd used them because it was an angled wall on my boat* and I'd used double the supposedly required amount for the weight to be sure.
*boat as in home, rather than weekend plaything, before someone takes this to the golf club thread...

Sweet setup! That is how I imagined I would frame the sleeves. Thanks for posting up the pic.

See you’ve got Space Ritual up there. A friend wrote a book about Hawkwind which you might be interested in: http://strangeattractor.co.uk/shoppe/hawkwind-days-of-the-underground/

It's taken a very long time to get to this setup. 20 years and counting in this room!

Barney Bubbles work. I've changed a few of those since that photo but I like that cover probably a bit more than I like the album. I have played sonic attack on a sound system in a park for a bet though :)
I'll check out the link, thank you.

I need another copy of that. Mine is badly scratched from having been enjoyed too often.

The @freakstreet covers are brilliant. How did you get hold of them?

This the funky coloured new one from Rough Trade? I was just a bit too late on the pre-orders, dammit...
-
• #1214
It isn't but it is a rough trade one though from some indeterminate time in the past. Just a single not double.

Just checked to see if that meant they have the single vinyl back in stock - unfortunately not. Will just wait for the funky one's release date and hope they've kept some stock back, rather than let it all go on the pre-order.

He was clearing his studio and sold me half an exhibition's worth of stuff for fuck all... I've also got some of his vintage doctored magazine ads which are genius... He's been doing monster masks the last few years, more recently he's started doing limited run plastic monster toys, I love his stuff...

I'll keep an eye out for the pre-order.

Lucky score, right place, right time. Genius stuff.

Pre-order is gone - they're sold out.
Assume they'll have some in shops on release and maybe on site.

Any suggestions on what to do with a couple crates of mid 90's to mid 2000's Hip Hop and RnB? I've finally got round to rescuing stuff from my parents loft and whilst it's all playable the covers and sleeves are pretty beaten up from being stuffed in old record bags. I'll have a sort as there's probably a few gems in there. Worth listing or do people still by job lots? Alternatively suggestions for charity vinyl shops in SE London.
Or... are there any youth centres still going that might want it so kids can fuck up some old vinyl?

I would identify them using Discogs and pick out the ones worth selling individually then sell the rest as a job lot.

It is surprising what it is worth. I may be interested in some of it but I am in Bristol.
I am still trying to catalogue my collection on discogs and am quite often surprised how much some hip-hop albums are worth.

I meant the reissue of the sold out version which I'd incorrectly assumed was happening in November. Do you mean you have a pre-order for a pressing that's due in November but is currently oversubscribed?
If you have the catalogue number I can tease my wholesaler with it, sometimes they have an allocation which is then split out to their shops and sellers.

I would do what Soul has suggested but beware of the time sink that selling on Discogs can become. I had a lot of success with a small percentage of titles, sold some quite well on ebay in boxes of 20 and 1 or 2 loads of 100.
If they are potentially £50 or so for some of them you need to be careful with grading. If you don't want to get good at that there will be people who can offer you an insulting small amount to take the whole lot which they will cherry pick etc.

Sorry if it was unclear.
This repress is being pressed as a rough trade exclusive (2,000 copies). It went on sale about 6 weeks ago and has completely sold out of its pre-order allocation - the shipping of which will take place in November.
As you can see from the product listing, they do say 'Please check your local store for availability' so there might be a few kicking around in November.
Catalog number is TB-1019-1 which seems to correspond to the original Tommy Boy pressing (with the edition of the -1 which signifies this release).
Hi I posted recently about my difficulty in getting the last few Pearl Jam LPs to complete the set at reasonable prices.
No Code 1996 goes for ridiculous prices, i managed to get at reasonable price by bidding on a french copy (supposedly NM) , the postage wasnt cheap but ive paid about £40 overall and so I'm very happy. Just need BackSpacer now for the full set, im not a huge fan of that album so not paying silly money, No Code is a work of genius
