Very impressed with the Feed Me Weird Things reissue on clear vinyl.
No skips, pops etc. Very quiet pressing and a nice, loud, recording. The booklet is really nice, with some lovely details on the recording process / instruments used. 10" addition is great too. Only let down is the slip cover is a little cheap. Would have been nicer in a box of some sort.
Well worth the money.

I'll be at the record fair near Eel Pie Records in Twicks this Saturday. Come say hi.
Have got a pile of used 12" record mailers up for sale. Most in great condition. Some with additional stiffeners. Mix of corrugated and single envelope types. 20 for £10. Plus postage if required.

Good news it's back on. I've only been once but it's tempting as it's been a while. If I'm there I'll say hi.

Happy Record Store Day 2021 fellow junkies!
(I know I'm a few hours early...)

I struggled to find anything I'd buy on that list this year... Makes life a little bit easier! 🤪

I'm sworn off it and this year pressing quality is likely to be worse than ever.
Just received my monthly box which is half the usual size because I can't order anything with confidence.
Did get the Jaoquin Joe Claussell - Raw Tones EP early and it's decent.
Bad pressings of 2 reggae classics though. Pick A Dub and Two Sevens Clash both with nasty problems.

Two Sevens Clash
that's a shame - such a great record

It's the 40th anniversary edition and the 3rd disk has some card pressed into it, must have been in the press. Not sure which track it is that's screwed but the original disk plays well enough so I'll try and exchange it or get a replacement 3rd disk if the label is decent. I don't hold out much hope though.
I'm getting lots of bad pressings at the moment. I did manage to return the 3 faulty blue note I had recently.
Got at least one brilliant Analogue Productions disk though. Ella & Louis from their Verve series Mono 45rpm 200gm, 2 disks. Thankfully both great pressings.

My pressing of that is thin and shite also.

Same label as my screwed pressings. I'll accept Jamaican quality pressings but unplayable is a bridge too far. I would try and get a good look the one you linked before you lay out on it.

This also popped up on my radar, always loved watching records getting made in one big squish.

Something generally while I'm moaning about pressings. I still enjoy a lot of 12" & 7" stuff thats not really well pressed but is loud enough to cover the surface noise. I've been going back to buying 12's and 7's because they're less risky than the albums.

Friend on mine wants me to grab one for him as he's not in the UK so I'll have a look anyways.

That looks great. I'll look out for some Tuff Gong to give it a try.

I would love a nice copy of Pick a Dub...

I have to get down to Brixton again and see who survived last year.
Snap :)
