Both Brian and Matt started the league as team members and therefore were unable to sub for other teams. If they have now quit from their respective teams then they shouldn't technically be allowed to sub for other teams.

TBH, that was my intial response to brians post too. Otherwise, why declare yourself part of a team at the start of the season? Damn, this rules business is complicated.

I think youre right in suggesting that as it stands, players still shouldnt be allowed to sub for other league teams if they leave their declared team. I think there's a whole transfer rules debate that we're starting to see a need for, in time for next season, and this is one of the situations we need to discuss, because Im also not sure how fair it is to the players. Its also hard on the rest of BRPC in this case, because their one sub is now permanently being used.

Yeah. That always made sense. That wasnt aimed at bryan, or zombies in particular,at all. I meant it more in the general league rule sense of "If you join a team (even as their sub), rather than just being a floating sub, youre still a team member, and thus also shouldnt be allowed to leave and go back to floating sub status under the current league rules".

in the argy about zombie having four players, the rules were quoted and it said that a team consisted of three players, it needs clarifying whether that means off court or only on court.

We decided to not have a vote about whether a team could have a permanent sub, with understanding being that we don't care about this (so, yes, they can) and we don't need to make another rule.

So the rule that states a team only has three players should be interpreted to refer only to on the court.

so i could register a team next season and pick from the subs every week for each fixture? with me being the only permanent player? or a conglomerate of players could register a team and have a rotation system?

(just to clarify i dont care about this, zombie thing is fine by me, just hypothesising or wtvr)

it's fine as is for this year, but i think it should be modified/clarified when we do the rules discussions before the start of the next league.
