So, whoever mentioned the vegan fried egg crisps from TK Maxx a while back, thank you. They are pretty special.

Anyone know a shop where I can get Kala namak (black salt) and MSG in SE London?
-
• #9680
Not sure about the kala namak but MSG is pretty easy to come by in little grocery stores. Near me there's a Carribbean one and one with a halal butcher attached that both stock it. Worth popping in to something like that if you have one local. It's probably not worth the trip to Penge just for MSG though.

The salt you can get for not many pounds off an internet.

Can often get it in Indian grocery stores in the spice section. Was in the first one we walked into (SW London)

Just been to Zeret in Camberwell. Really good Ethiopian food, highly recommended! Really decent value as well. Spent less than £20 each and had a bit of everything, I can hardly move I'm so full.

Violife or Green Vie are the options available to me here.

Violife is crap in my experience
Plasticky -

Yeah I’d prob swerve the violife. And get some green vie to try before commiting to using it, some fake cheeses can really ruin a dish

A couple of places flying the flag for veganism in the vegan wilderness
Foxglove in Barmouth. Five courses of imaginative tasty food for £35. Owners super friendly too.
Eating Gorilla in Penrhyndeudraeth. Have not been here, but met the owners whilst dining at the above, and they were lovely. So go visit!
Also visited Okra in Shrewsbury which does the vegan street food thing, but really well.
Well, Munich Germany.. :)
