We are trying various different milk alternatives.
First was alpro shhh this is not milk
It had a weird artificial flavour a bit like milk flavoured sweets. It foamed well for coffee but the foam broke down quickly. In tea the first mouthful tasted strongly of raw oats/ improperly prepared porridge but this subsided with following mouthfuls.
Now trying oatly oat drink whole. Much better, less artificial flavour. Worked well for coffee and with cereal. Yet to try with tea.
After that we have to try out - alpro oat barista, alpro almond barista, minor figures barista oat, oatly oat drink barista, minor figures organic barista oat.
One noticeable effect of moving away from milk is that the caffeine hits much harder. Something I notice when I drink black v60 coffee too.

Oatly is decent, best one is the oato stuff delivered by our milkman, not that I do but it's actually quite nice to just drink, has a malty sweetness to it, bonus of reusable packaging and oats are UK produced.

I really like ‘Good hemp’ on cereal. It’s got a slight nuttiness to it and not as rich as oatly. Oatly is go to for other things and barista version is amazing for hot chocolate too. Minor figures and alpro versions not as good in my opinion.

Minor Figures is the tits.
I used to drink Oatly at home but then my girlfriend said no more once they received funding from Blackstone and the oat milk company that was (very vocally) trying to fight ‘the man’ kinda became ‘the man’. Or something. Minor Figures tastes better and the branding is cooler anyway.

Yes it was Oatly that had a court case trying to stop this brand with its oh so similar packaging

Alpro do one called my cuppa which is specifically for tea. The missus has it. I don't drink tea and don't take milk in coffee but I'm a minor figures fan for anything else

Another Minor Figures fan here.
Califa Farms oat barista blend is good for steaming.
Asda barista oat is also pretty good and half the price. -

You can use Oatly for your espresso based drinks if you want :)

Sainsburys own brand oat milk from the chilled section is actually pretty decent. I don’t drink much m*lk in anything but everyone in my house is an oatly barista fanatic. When I buy the sainsburys alternative I don’t hear any complaints from them.
Personally I quite like Jord too.

Jord is owned by Arla who are a massive dairy company - there are many other better brands to support who aren't still in the business of exploitation.

I'm a fan of the Califa Farms oat milk these days.

Any recommendations for somewhere nearish Angel? I'll probably be on my own so somewhere casual and cheap, ideally speedy as well! Anywhere nearby that does a good falafel wrap or something like that?

Same here. My partner is vegan and I occasionally use oat milk in my coffee. We were using Oatly but stopped for the same reasons (plus when you see celebrities investing in a company is usually not a good sign). Switched to Moma mainly for the price, she said it's good and prefers its taste to Oatly, recently bought some Rude Health organic, I was blown away with how creamy it is and tastes really good.

Popped in earlier and bought some beer, really sad they're going.

Just bought some Holland & Barrett vegan egg mix, and made an omelette with it. Twas alright, even if it ended up a bit closer to scrambled eggs. The texture wasn't awful and the Himalayan salt helped. Anyone else used this (or another brand) and found anything particularly good to make with it?
Yep echo the calls for a Recipie although I'd go dark chocolate.
