How could this ever be a bad thing? Mainstream veganism ftw

One of the reasons I went vegan at the start of the year is that it's at least as easy now as when I went veggie 20 years ago. A big part of that is bigger companies generally having a few easy to grab vegan options. I like cooking and sorting out nice vegan food myself, but I'm also lazy and want an easy option a lot of the time, and those times are getting catered for more and more. I imagine having all those options are making some people cut out more often, and 3 half vegans are better for an animal than one whole one.

Forum night out, anyone?
On the 13th September, it's the Hackney Downs Vegan Night Market, 6pm-11pm:
http://fatgayvegan.com/2019/08/24/vegan-night-market-in-hackney-this-september/
We could go there for food and drink first.
Coincidentally, the closest thing we currently have to a forum band, The Embers featuring @owl, are playing not far away, at Biddle Brothers in Lower Clapton Road. They are excellent.
Friday the 13th, what could possibly go wrong?
Expressions of interest, please, and I'll put up a thread.

Apart from vegan marshmallows, what's good for toasting/cooking on a stick over an open fire?

Sainsbury's shroomdogs, the chorizo ones?

I just came here to ask if vegan marshmallows were a thing. Where would I find them?

Try to find Dandies vegan marshmallows. They're my kids favourite. Nowhere stocks them near me so I get them online

https://www.theguardian.com/food/2019/aug/28/vegan-food-becomes-uk-fastest-growing-takeaway
Paul Baron, the owner of I Am Doner, a pair of kebab shops in Leeds and Harrogate, said his vegan kebab routinely outsold chicken, halloumi and falafel. Made from seitan, a meat substitute derived from wheat gluten, the “voner” kebab sometimes outsells the lamb alternative too.
I still wonder if it's going to be anything more than faddish--e.g., looking at how the vegan chip shop in Graham Road closed down quite quickly after demand presumably levelled off when people's curiosity was sated. Still, it can't be denied that the junk food angle got huge attention, being strangely inclusive.

Here's a page about the vegan aspects of world cuisines--as it seems to be aimed at people wanting to eat 'less meat', there are references to meat in it that are a bit unpleasant, but still a useful guide, I think:

Zads in Manchester seems to be going strong still, burgers and pizza is the menu. Seems to have lasted beyond any arbitrary fad threshold

Earthlings is almost vegan, it seems, and wholly vegan for food.
My vegan options are still in the fresh produce section only
