That's my go to when I'm in that neck of the woods! I don't live in London and am only down there a few times a year so was hoping to try somewhere new though.

So have you tried RASA N16 yet?

Went to Antonio's Kitchen last night. Calzone was pretty good, so was ravioli. Neat little place not far from Bethnal Green station.

Levy veggie night market was pretty damn good, had a tasty spicey bratwurst hotdog thing, I think the katsu curry I got my wife was better though, should've eaten it on the way home.

Vegan Market news. Hackney Downs Market will be on Saturday and Sunday this week-end.
FGV will also be at Venn Street Market in Clapham. Not fully vegan, but a third of the market will be.

So, off to a country house wedding outside of that London today - taking bets on whether the vegan option will be beetroot salad or butternut squash...

Was at an event yesterday where the only vegetarian option for the whole evening was cheesecake.
There wasn't even a vegan option. They had a huge bowl of salad but somebody dumped a can of tuna in it. -

No hunks of bread floating around? 😅

Yes but those were for the people that got the goulash
: ]Luckily in Berlin the next Falafel is only a short bike ride away, usually..

I once went to a wedding in a ropey hotel in middle of nowhere where I was the only vegan there. Every single course had pineapple in it for some reason. I think the chef was trying to be creative by serving the ratatouille main course in a hollowed out pineapple. That or they'd got one in specially and were trying to use it up.

Is there any vegan chocolate that successfully mimics the taste of milk chocolate? Or comes slightly close?

Can anyone recommend a fancy restaurant that has vegan options?
Looking for somewhere to take my Dad for his 60th. (2 vegans and 2 meat eaters)

I've had a curry served in a pineapple, which is just about forgivable, but ratatouille? That's an obscenity. Anyway, we actually got a mushroom wellington with mushroom gravy, which was the best vegan meal I've had at a wedding - much impressed.
@farewell - had a work meal in Hutong at the Shard recently - the vegan stuff was very good, and I think it's the best of the high-rise places for views, as you're looking from S Ldn over across the North.

The only thing that should be served in a pineapple is pineapple, and that should be avoided where possible.

Cheers! Bought both to try

Sounds really nice. The last wedding we went to we (and about 5 other couples) had the meat kebabs which everyone else had as a side compliment to the steak bbq and hog roast - but without the meat on them. So essentially a couple bits of pepper and some courgette. There were only two per person as well which was so much less than the food for the meaters. When we asked if there was anything else / when the main was coming, the chef and staff sorting the food were completely dumbfounded as to why we'd ask for more / not be satisfied and filled with what they gave us:
" I thought you didn't like meat and all you ate was some vegetables?"
"would you be happy just eating that without the meat?"
"Well I don't know, I'm not fussy like that and would just eat the main food"
Obviously didn't want to bring this up with the couple getting married so we just had to go without! -

Sounds like my experience when eating out in Mallorca these past 2 weeks. Fries & roasted veg got boring fast.

literally had the same experience in Palma when there a while back. Until we found Santosha which is a brilliant cafe with loads of veggie/vegan options. There was also another 100% vegan place, well out of the way, but I know things like that don't last for long.
Has anyone got any suggestions for places between or around Victoria coach station and Stoke Newington? I won't have loads of time but don't mind making a slight detour!
