  • Temple of Seitan at Hackney Downs vegan market with quarterpunder cheezburgers this saturday..

  • I can't go - I will pay a million shiny new pound coins of the Queen to anyone who will deliver one of these to me.

  • The faux fish I think is an imported product that quite a few businesses now use, but it's good. I think you can get it at the Coach & Horses in Soho, I've had it from 'Battered', and now Sanctuary, where I haven't been yet.

  • It's not in the Seven Sisters area but close enough that it may be possible for you to get to--Karamel in Wood Green, at the Chocolate Factory in Coburg Road. (Make sure you get the Chocolate Factory in Coburg Road, as there are two more in the vicinity in other streets.) Fully vegan.

  • How do vegans feel about breast milk / breast feeding?

  • That comes up every once in a while, and of course breastfeeding and wet nursing are absolutely fine. People are sometimes tripped up by the fact that human breast milk is technically an animal product, too, but of course mothers/wet nurses can give their milk willingly, unlike animals that are abused for theirs.

  • Any vegan nut roast recommendations? I’m due to cook one this weekend although am struggling to find a decent looking recipe that doesn’t contain diary of some form

  • Subjective but in my opinion not an animal product which is farmed etc and is natural/healthy for the child so its a good thing in my book

  • This recipe is the best I've ever made.

Easily veganised (1 tablespoon flax to 3 tablespoons of almost-boiling water, whisked = 1 egg to bind). Leave out the cheese.

  • Interesting logic there if you drink cows milk :)

  • That does look good, thank you!

  • Problem is with the unnecessary consumption of another animals breast juice that is designed to turn a 29kg calf into 317kg cow.

  • if you drink cows milk :)

    I don't :)

  • I have no issues with breastfeeding as long as it is human-human.

I also have no problem with eating humans, as they generally deserve it. Also dolphins - smug, grinning rapists that they are.

  • That place in Covent Garden that was doing breast milk ice-cream a few years ago – is that vegan?

  • I think that was a publicity stunt. They reportedly never had any of that ice cream in stock.

Of course it's vegan. The women gave it. Unless they were locked in cages with machines hooked up to them. Humans have a choice. Animals don't.

  • What are peoples go to hangover stodge foods?

    I am dying here

    *also new to this

  • potato waffles! Beans, sausages...basically if it comes out of a can or the freezer it's probably good. Banana/peanut butter/oat smoothies are also good if you can stomach it, carbs and a bit of sugar.

  • Hash browns

  • Just made (and eaten most of) a Shepherdless Pie.

  • I had always thought it was called a Shepherdess Pie as in female Shepherd .
Not one with less shepherds in it.
    Aduki beans ?

  • Oh, yes, coined it as it's total vegan (so no shepherds involved at all), with lentils, leeks, mushrooms and vegan-cheese topping :-) Didn't know there was already a Shepherdess (lass?) thing!

  • I have made a shepherdess pie and a banana and peanut butter smoothie today. I may have had a drink last night.

  • This twist on shepherds pie is a favourite in our house.

I’ve also done the same thing but using a tagine inspired bottom layer and a falafel top. Really good.

  • Recipie? Sounds amazing
