3 months veggie has been pretty easy so far. Also cut out eggs and milk in the last month.
Black coffee took a week to get used to.
Darjeeling tea, black and not too strong was a bit grim at first but I now find it really refreshing. -

Nice one! Why you make the switch?

Environment, health, animal welfare
Cowspiracy and more recently dairy is scary were contributing factors

Loads of dairy-free milks now so no need for black coffee ;) Soya works for me but put the milk in before hot water... apparently the new Barista Oatly is pretty good as well

I'll have soya or oat if I'm out and about. Found that it often curdled in tea.
Black tea is nice! -

Week in, all going well. Fully used to black coffee now, bought some Oatly but can't stomach it on its own or in hot drinks, though is really good for making bircher. I can't comment on whether not having whey for recovery has affected me as both big rides I've done recently have ended in 6pts in a pub, so probably not ideal recovery conditions.
Best purchase has been nutritional yeast. Once over the foreskinny (I imagine) aroma, it's just fucking great on everything. My 3 year old eats it dry, by the spoonful. -

That's how I've taken my tea for a long time. Tea bags are much too strong for single cups, probably as they were invented when people still routinely made whole pots of tea (into which people nowadays put several tea bags), so a little goes a long way, and you realise what the fuss is really about with tea, unlike when you turn it into a milky, sugary sludge. :)

Roobios = red tea? That's quite nice too.
@Oliver Schick so I need to go loose leaf? -
• #3662
Ah, no, that's not what I meant--I meant only leave the teabag in briefly, as you've been doing.
I haven't seen the spelling 'Roobios' before (probably a typo), it's more commonly 'Rooibos'.

You're always right Oliver! I was rushing.

He spends the rest of the time trying to teach them to speak English. Hope they sends him back pretty sharpish.

Has anyone been to the Fat Gay market at Hackney Downs? We're thinking of going up there next weekend with the brats, as there's a vegan parents picnic organised in the park on the same day, but the reports of overcrowding at the market sounded pretty miserable.

I was away for the first monthly market, but I saw the crowds at the Christmas Market. It was really spectacular, just such a success. I'm going to the second one for sure. If you want me to queue for anything for you, let me know. I'll try to get there very early.

My view is that it's definitely in the convenience shopping category, so will be costly in many respects. Like most "normal" ready meals. If it helps people move to this kind of food, I don't mind overlooking some things.
I'm going to get one order in to hopefully get inspired to make my own ready meals. Meals are easier once I've been shown what's possible
