Hi all, bit of promo for a friend if that is ok- if not let me know and I will remove.
My friend's brother started a raw cake business a couple of years ago- Mr Pempys. Thought it might be of interest as many of the items are vegan (all but one of the cakes are- one has bee pollen in it) and it is a small business working hard to make good food and source ingredients ethically.
He does make chocolate which is not vegan and as above uses bee pollen in one cake- not sure if this is a deal-breaker.
If not you can contact him through his website or visit them at the various food markets that they attend throughout the week.
I can vouch for the tastyness of the cakes- absolutely lovely.

Wow, everything looks pretty amazing and don't worry if not everything is vegan, as long as some of it is, we don't care!

Tsk, tsk, Johnny, two mistakes in one sentence. I've fixed that for you. :)
Looking forward to seeing everybody in a bit.

Any good? Still haven't found a great cheese sub

I didn't think Daiya lived up to the hype when I tried it, kind of chalky... similar texture to cheezly :( Didn't try all the varieties and maybe we should have grilled it more or something but was a little disappointed. Taco Bus had good vegan cheese but I don't know what it was.
Don't mind violife occasionally (bit plastic-y) or mozzarisella. Made some cashew soft cheese which was super tasty but not really suitable for pizza or something...

Yeah it's good.
It's not as incredible as everyone makes out but definitely one of the better vegan cheeses. It works best in toasties and melted on Pizza. It's just a shame you can't buy it in the UK.
Have you tried any of the Vegusto cheeses? I think they're pretty good, but then again I probably can't actually remember what real cheese tastes like.

Got a recipe?
Also, former Easts venue The Royal Sovereign has just acquired a vegan café inside. Superb.
