How does the Pro compare with the Triple? Is it better suited to road use?

top tip for using these - clean your frame thoroughly, then dry and it heat the frame up with a hairdryer before applying.
This is good^! I’ve been using Di2 strips for a while on one bike, they work pretty well. I find the standard bi-wire you get with B&M lights doesn’t quite run through the unglued middle channel. Not yet tried with co-axial, but I suspect that these strips are really one-use either wire type - ie if you want to switch wire or light type (SON are pre-wired with no connector) then you need new strips.
If you’re on a budget use gaffer tape.

Is that this one?

It says tale light included which confuses me? -
• #1305
Yeah, you might want to screenshot that for when they argue about it not having one :)
-
• #1306
Hmm. I might feel bad about that given I might order two
-
• #1307
Well they're out of stock so...
-
• #1308
Balls. well done me.
Edit - was in stock in black. ordered.
-
• #1309
Still showing as out of stock to me. Said only one left before I checked out. Still seems too good to be true.
Watch this space for fail story.

Oh yeah fully expecting a fail.

Fuck it this dyno lark is pricey.
I'm gonna invest in some bike-mounted davey lamps.
-
• #1312
Not sure tbh, which one do you have?
-
• #1313
Triple
It's brighter but it's for MTB so who knows on the road.
-
• #1314
Looks like the Triple is staggering 640 lumens compared to the 305 lumens of the E3 Pro 2.
Both same size at 65mmx40mm.
Looks like the Triple is made to light up everything in the forest through a wider illumination pattern.
According to the Supernova website , the Triple isn't road legal in Germany and for Sport use only. -

I got the grey one for 122 and reading the description, supplied with tail light probbaly refers to power for the standlight being provided by the front light rather than the actual rear light being in the package. Will see what arrives and return if no rear.
-
• #1316
Hope you got a tenner off and expect the same as you re rear light. Sure it means compatible not included.
-
• #1317
Yeah. Did that too. So was 112 or so
-
• #1318
Yeah, it comes with a warning.
Obviously I ignored it.
-
• #1319
Just got confirmation it comes with

What?!?!?
The seat post or rack version?
Surely, someone somewhere has fucked up. -
• #1321
What mudguards? Some metal guards (Velo Orange/Gilles Berthoud) have a rolled edge that you can hide a cable in. If you crimp that a little then it will pin it in place.
-
• #1322
Not sure which one, but will be happy with either if it indeed comes.
-
• #1323
Too good to be true...
Got clarity that it was bad translation. They're cancelling my order because the text does indeed refer to the standlight on the rear being supplied by the front (electrically).
-
• #1324
I used these from the dynamo up the inside of the front fork. Works a treat.
-
• #1325
Are you going to replace the order? Still £30 cheaper than the UK.
Yes, this. Pretty sure that for a while, either SJS or Spa had a much cheaper grey version on sale that you couldn't run a rear light from.
