Kat - this is aftermath of my crash on the back straight from Charlotte's blog - don't suppose your team have any action photos of the crash?

Ah that's you. Hello. Shame we didn't meet properly at the race. That was a nasty crash. Hope you are healing ok. I'll ask Phil who took most of our pics if there are any more.

Nope, I'm afraid that's all Phil took. Which is a shame because if you're going to go headbutting the tarmac on a penny, it would at least be nice to have some decent mid-air shots...

Ah, I missed this thread completely. I posted about it here after kat told me:

I saw this later on video. Shocking to hear the rider broke bones.
As if that dangerous overtaking manoeuvre wasn't risky enough, he then also shakes a little swerve, seemingly to get round what looks like a low kerb beginning halfway around the corner. That in itself is obviously a hazard, but he should have eased off there.

This video does a great job of presenting the speed of the event, the effort in getting a bike of that scale moving at a pace and then controlling it on tight bends. It also shows Charlotte and I doing a speedy transponder changeover in the pit. (Hope it works!)

Yay it worked.

Sorry, I was on the other side of the corner when I heard the bang so that's all I got! I thought the guy in front was really hurt at first. I was pretty impressed when you both remounted. -

Was I the guy in the front (I'm in the one on the red top - I was behind, but was then catapulted to the front!)? I was rolling 'round on the ground wih cramp after the crash, which I managed to massage out after a few moments.
Kat - did you get your on-bike Hero cam footage up on YouTube?
Term 'Safety bicycle' makes a lot more sense now..
