Great to see some interest in this ride mounting. Despite the tone of my early post which pitched Object into getting this thread running well ahead of the event, I don't really subscribe to a bah, humbug! stance. Can't imagine I'll be got-up in some Christmas Carol costume either. I'm just enthusiastic to get a good ride in. The 25th is the best opportunity to enjoy central London car-free. All the better too in the company of cunt-calling bike aficoanados.

I've decided to run a sister ride in the sticks with far fewer members (myself and possibly my brother) on roads that are usually car-free all year round. I expect, with people travelling to nearby relatives, they'll probably be busier than usual.

I'll be looking to meet you all around noon.. with 2 non forum waifs..

What happened to the list?

I too, like wibble, will be in the Suffolk for crimbo. This thread had reminded me to take a bike with me.

Would you have forgotten to take a bike otherwise? I'm ashamed of you.

This will be my fourth year doing the christmas morning ride solo. saw BDW rolling a cig at oxford circus last year. if i bump into any riders again this year, i'll shout hello. i'd join the group but for me there's something very meditative doing this ride alone...plus i start at 7am or so.
always a nice ride, even when it's pissing down with rain.

I'll be in south Norfolk. Was thinking of going down Diss-way on Boxing Day, super early.

Someone take some photos, I want to see what it's like to not celebrate Christmas.

Diss is about 25 miles from my house and I'd love to do a 50 mile round trip to say hello plurabelle but I'm not sure I've got the inclination on such a lazy day :P
Skully, where abouts will you be?

I'll be in London at C-mas for the first time in years. I was thinking/hoping to sneak away from family early morning to have a roll around deserted London and see if it has that "28 days later" vibe I'm hoping for.
I won't put myself on the list as I don't know what time I can get away or how long I can be out before I get my annual accusation of ruining C-mas. Perhaps I'll join, perhaps I'll bump into you out there.

Diving in Egypt is a suitable reason for not turning up. I'll let you off.

If you get out early then there will definitely be a post apocalyptic feel. PM me closer to the time and I'll give you my number so you can call on the offchance that we're somewhere near you whilst you're out and about. -
