I intend to get out for an early spin on my own before meeting you all at Ox Circ, then see how far I get before my freedom-from-family-pass expires. For a number of reasons I'll be bouncing along on my MTB.

I'm going out drinking tonight so this may all change.

I have just been totally shocked. Two of the 3 people I am hosting for christmas do not have bikes. Given I met them they both had several each and were dispatch riders, this was completely unexpected. I am disapointed that we wont be joining the riders on the 25th.

Hi, Oxford Circus, London, not Oxford. Its one big X at the middle of Oxford st,
pace should be leisurely, and theres a 32 k route but im not sure about that exactly.

well it's about 75-100 miles on average and we'll be making a speed of hopefully about 27mph, maybe more, no brakes please, it'll slow us down.

is there any need for that Ed? unless you know the alias?..............................

but i did massive (and awesome) ride last night through the empty streets of london. it was awesome. honest.

and this morning i was too tired. i needed to lie in.

What a dissapointment! I'm sure the ride was great - unfortunately I didn't have the heart to tell my youngest son that he couldn't come with me, so we started with the bunch at Oxford Circus and by the time we got to Waterloo bridge we'd dropped off the back and lost you all! We rode up to Tower bridge then back to Westminster with Rachel (who had a very dissapointing 1st forum ride) then went home.

Hope you all had a fantastic ride and managed to keep warm.

Just got back....hung for an hour or so......cold tootsies.......Cool runnings for 2010.

What a great way to start Cmas day. Always a pleasure to ride with the forum, nice to see the familiar faces and meet a few more. I peeled off after completing the second lap of the inner circle, sorry I didn't get to say goodbye properly but I was stone dead last and fading fast (I'd been out since 8 o'clock and done the best part of 15 miles already and I had to get home and blah blah excuse excuse...)

Right, better get back to the festivities before someone drinks all my share of the booze. Happy Cmas and see you all in the new year.

Yeah, was looking forward to seeing you guys as well. Got the orders from the boss though. She's back to work right away tomorrow, and the few days we had off in Norway weren't really relaxing, so she wanted a day off from everything.

Thanks all, I know its a cliche but that was my first forum ride and really enjoyed it, really good to meet faces and people I have seen here. Just sorry I had to cut it short (left just after Hyde Park). Object, thanks very much for organising it. Thanks to Digger for taking the Fort by the horns and getting the ride going. Thanks also to VeeVee and Jaygee for the biscuits and cakes, good work.

was good to meet a few people, and at least start the ride! was good to be out anyway as I rarely get the chance other than commuting.

ahhh two sets of traffic lights, too slow and couldn't see where everyone had gone after stamford street. whoops. must be quicker next time.
