the big flaw in this whole thing ( not to mention the ' you don't pay road tax' argument), is that there ISN'T a road tax. it's vehicle licensing tax. it has nothing to do with road usage and maintenance.

You said it's not car tax it's road tax and then said it only applies to cars on roads not bikes on roads.

It's not road tax then is it, it's a car tax. Because if it were a road tax I would be paying to use the road whilst on my bicycle. Since I am not the tax clearly isn't a road tax. Are you working this out yet?
