  • Fuck multitasking.

  • Fuck multitasking.

    err onetasking FTW!

Of course, you're a bloke, not all men can handle multitasking, only superior ones can.

  • Fuck multitasking.
    err onetasking FTW!

If you can't multi, you ain't shit.

  • I don't need to multi task, wtf would I want to do that?!

  • Talk and wank at the same time.

  • "walk" ?

  • Get an iPhone, jailbreak it and say a big fuck you to the ripoff AppStore.

  • Haha iPhone shitness. Android's multitasking is great.

So you dislike Campag and iPhones? You are odd... ;-/

  • "walk" ?

No, you heard me right the first time..

  • Get an iPhone, jailbreak it and say a big hello to the new viruses for iClones and bye bye to any updates from Apple.

    Oh.

  • So you dislike Campag and iPhones? You are odd... ;-/

Yes. That has been said of me before. I'm ok with it though.

  • If you can't multi, you ain't shit.

Jailbroken iPhone running backgrounder works very well.

  • Yes. That has been said of me before. I'm ok with it though.

Well we both must be odd because i kind of dislike iPhone's and i really hate Campag :)

    Your not the only one!

    :)

  • Jailbroken iPhone running backgrounder works very well.

That's nice. I don't need to jail break my phone for background tasks. And I have built-in notifications - it's not just some lame Windows 3.11 approx. of multi-tasking.
How are those Latitude update working out for ya? Google Voice?

  • Well we both must be odd because i kind of dislike iPhone's and i really hate Campag :)

    Your not the only one!

    :)

    'You're'

    ;-/

    i like my iphone.

i don't like multi-tasking, wtf is it anyway.

Was: I have the best phone in the world! It can do anything! Watch this....

Now: I don't need to use more than one app at a time? That's just overkill!

    ;)

    Android wins.

  • ehrm ... n900 anyone? maemo wins!

  • ehrm ... n900 anyone? maemo wins!

Agreed. Insofar that the Nokia N900 is an extremely well specced phone.

However, the reason that I will no longer own a Nokia, is that they release phones that are unfinished, and you'd have to wait for 2-3 updates before the phone begins to ever fulfill its design remit, and its potential.

I long decided that Nokia is running a scam, where it sells phones that it knows have software issues, and uses the first adopters as beta-testers....without their knowledge.

Blackberrys, whether better or worse, are released fully tested, and working to the remit.

Still, already, the Motorola Milestone and Acer Liquid A1 match or exceed the spec of the Nokia N900. Given the choice, it would be the Milestone for me.

  • My mate had one of those chunky Nokias. Not bad.. for a Nokia.. actually felt solid for a change. They're dead to me these days though.

  • Meh I have the Nokia 5800. I still prefer the LG viwety I had, if you had to compare.

  • 6210 Nokia's last phone. LG don't make phones they make fridge/freezers.

  • Smartphone showdown - Android vs iPhone vs Windows vs Blackberry

    Maemo vs Android

Technical (geeky) - Android vs Maemo

Software freedoms - Android vs Maemo

    N900 vs HD2 vs Droid

    N900 vs HD2 vs Droid (2)

What I find really compelling about Maemo, is that its based on Linux Debian, and all the programs available for that, are easily transferrable. This is hundreds and hundreds of Linux programs, and of the highest quality. Whether this can be done quickly enough to stop the tide of Android innovation, remains to be seen.

Really, Maemo is a winner.....and apparently, games are much easier to write for it than for Android. However, the ease of writing new software for the Android platform should not be underestimated.

There will very soon be a huge overcrowding of OS's in the mobile phones war.

This is how I see it playing out (though, I'm no "expert").

    1. Windows will decline.
    2. Android will continue growth, mainly because so many phone manufacturers have Android phones in the pipeline, and soon to be retailed.
    3. Maemo will struggle to get manufacturers onboard, as many have already commited to Android.
    4. Palm Pre (Web OS) is dead.
    5. Symbian will be defeated in the battle for the middleground, against Android.
    6. Apple will feel the pressure, but will ride it, by reducing apps prices, and easing restrictions, in allowing fuller developer access to their OS.
  • . LG don't make phones they make fridge/freezers.

You got that right, my LG Arena freezes every 5 mins
