I was definitely disappointed by the chemistry of common life and pretty much stopped spinning any Fucked up. But after seeing them the other weekend at 1234 festival, as soon as baiting kicked in it totally reminded me how good they are and if anything they've improved a little live. I don't really want to build up your expectiations but your in for a treat.

Awesome! I was kinda fishing hoping to find some other people who want to go, as I've not seen my housemate who said he wanted to go for about 4 days now. Will PM you my number, get in touch later on if your still keen.

I fell out of love with AM! when New Wave came out, and ended up walking out of their last show at the ballroom a couple of years ago. However I saw them at the Garage in Islington a few months back and they were excellent - so I've got my fingers crossed for November. Fucked Up are always worth seeing too.
Anybody here going to Polar Bear Club at the Garage in a fortnight?

As I said, I like Against Me! alright but I wouldn't go see them if they were the only ones on a ticket. But Fucked Up I do like a lot and I'm quite keen to see them live. There are a few other acts on the bill that I'm blanking on at the moment but it should be a good show.

From what I've heard of PBC previously I was thinking they were definitely not gonna my cup of tea, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them at sick of it all on Sunday. Who they playing with?

No worries, turned out to be a fair few people there including my missing housemate. Didn't miss much really though, shitty limits didn't play for too long (and I missed half of it by being a cheapskate) and cerebral ballzy were pretty shit if I'm honest. But it was free so you can't really complain.

havn't read the thread. but done a UTFS, anyone coming to see Star Fcuking Hipsters in Camden on Wednesday> it's gonna be SOOO good, such good lineage! (the lead singer from SFH is Stza from Leftover Crack and Chocking Victim)!!!

I saw SFH with Voodoo Glow Skulls a little while ago. I didn't think they put on a good show and I was quite disappointed to be honest. Hope it was just an off night for them.

Dead Swans and Pacer I think. Haven't heard much of Dead Swans, but Pacer are pretty good - they're a few of the guys used to be in The Steal.
I first saw PBC a couple of times on the Gaslight Anthem/PBC/Frank Turner tour a couple years back and didn't really like them - but I think it must've been because they were so out of place on that tour.
Soon after though they just clicked with me - and their show at the Fest in Florida last year was unbelievable!

i think they would've benefitted from not being so drunk. jus sayin.
and it would've been nice to sustain a conversation when the bands weren't on stage. still, was an alright night.

^ That and toning the bass down a little which just drowned pretty much everything out making it sound a mess.

For years I tried to get into Leatherface because everyone rated them so highly. Unfortunately I don't get them at all.

I've got a cold and am getting stoned on cough syrup, so I had an idea.
We should do a punk ride. Ride around old venues, notorious locales and, uh, drink tramp beers in London's famous London.
We could all dress from different styles/eras and slag off everyone else as sellouts. At the end of the ride someone could OD, most put on suits and sell insurance and at least two stay far too long and bitch that the others aren't/were never punk.
Or just the ride. Could be fun. Could be the Nyquil talking.
