  • I'll be using this bike for messing about with the nipper in local plantations (mainly fire roads) and on the pretty flat unused railway lines.

    The issue of pedal strike, spinning out etc are not really concerns. Should help hone a few bike skills.

    Cost of the BB/eno hubbed wheels means I'd be better of getting a pompino or similar frame. I'd just rather use what I have, waste not want not etc.

    Track ends it is.

  • One of the obscure advantages of fixed off road was the ability to open the many gates on my route without unclipping by unlatching gate and then reversing!
    First ride out on SS and I fell over at the first gate as the attempted reverse didn't quite work out with a freewheel (I didn't tell anyone this!)
