Not even a single SMTNRC Mike?
-
• #828
Nope.
Nothing. I dont think I managed one this year either :) -
• #829
Fuck off.
It would be nice to see you.
-
• #830
Who the fuck *are *you? Bruce cunting Forsyth?
-
• #831
No, because if I was I would say "Nice to see you, to see you nice" or "points make prizes" or, again, "You get nothing for a pair, not in this game" or "Give us a twirl Anthea" and somehow, I don't see any of those persuading you to pop along to Richmond Park or for a nice cup of tea at LMNH afterwards.

i do laps of richmond park every wednesday afternoon with a geared friend as our school games option.
anyone want to join us?
also, i should probably read the whole thread but can anyone tell me what day and time we meet for laps? -
• #833
Saturdays at 9 am by the cafe - or 8 am at Smithfield for the ride out.
-
• #834
I work on Saturdays, Oct-June.
Anyway, Clive, you're more Grayson than Forsyth.

which is your school?
-
• #837
My intention is to keep this fixed gears only.
I will come and ride on my geared bike. You can't stop me.
-

which is your school?
kgs
its not actually an option, we just asked if we could do it and they let us. -
• #839
British Cycling will do coached cycling sessions for your school, tell the teachers about it! it's free and bikes & helmets are supplied.
-
• #840
I wish work would let me out every Wednesday afternoon to ride round Richmond Joe =(
Might be in for the 8am from Smithfield option, although it's very early for me.

What geared bike is this you speak of?
-
• #842
I see martin lurking and I bet all he's thinking of is sausages....
-
• #843
A ribble audax.
You cannot argue with £120 for frame and carbon fork, it's perfectly adequate for my geared needs. -
• #844
oh yes. get in. etc. and so on.
-
• #845
Nope.
Nothing. I dont think I managed one this year either :)Yes you did. And you rode out. We got drenched on the way to Potters Bar.
You're right about Richmond Park being too much of a trek though. There should be a Regents Park equivalent.
-
• #846
What sort of lap times are you Saturday morning types doing / how many laps?
-
• #847
Regents Park on the weekend is shite though.
I don't think there's any SMTNRC this year, unless someone else is doing it. I expect the SSTC will be happening though…?
-
• #848
^^they weren't necessarily just going round the full 'circuit' last year. Lots of stuff using the shorter loop, and avoiding the southern end of the park.
-
• #849
I went once, between Xmas and NY, I think. It was fucking freezing, lots of ice on the verges, and me and claus ended up whizzing off the front just to keep warm.

Have you ever tried Finsbury Park? No good at night time (dark) but during the day during winter could be ok, I am thinking.
Yeah fuck that. By the time I get there I am shattered
Its so great being a sprinter. Think I am going to do about 2 miles training this winter
