I may have flounced but.
THAT WAS AWESOME!
My arms are still a little numb from all the vibration, but it was just greart to be out on what must be one of the top rides in the calendar.Philjamas, I love you.
Oh, and the office floor was an absolute winner, been for a swim and had breakfast c/o Pont Street Cabby shack. mmmmmfinally it was awesome seeing old faces, and I'm sorry if I drew a blank at ya.
Its been happening alot.Much love, and if the video looks halfway decent I'll put some of it up.

Well, that ride sucked...
Not!
What a fucking awesome spin that was. Philjamas you are a legend for sorting it out and keeping it organised so well. And respect to Gina G's parents for coming all the way from Germany just to be on the ride :-)
Interrupting the skiving coppers on the pier was funny. I reckon it was them that set the helicopter to follow us. -

thanks philjamas. that was a really really lovely ride. i left at westminster bridge as i was colder than i wanted to be.
hassle free and i think my favourite bits were the ultimate smile dentist, the tunnel and how just before tower bridge on the way back the river was red. ace.thanks!

Epic ride. Loved it. Great bunch of people. Brilliant route, some amazing hidden secrets. Perfect weather - I actually saw a star or five...
Brilliant to see a few people I have seen for a while including Paula Deluka and Marco. Always a pleasure.
I made the mistake of riding my new bike that I picked up on Tuesday literally never ridden more than 3 miles! Couldn't resit the pull of the new bike though :-)
Had a few issues - I always use SPDs and the new bike has clips. Had loads of trouble getting my right foot in EVERY time we set off - soooo annoying. Also had an unclip fail at a junction quite early on where I did the SPD twist and strangely my foot did not disengage. Wipe out.
The other issue was my squeaky arse! My jeans and brooks saddle combo led to a constant squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak with every pedal stroke. I am bringing the wd40 next time.
Other than that loved the new bike. Smooooooth. Need to put my own saddle and pedals on it and I think it would be quite rude not to replace the bullhorns with drops. Look out for an upcoming For Sale thread on here :-)
Got a slow p*ncture on South bank heading back towards Tower Bridge. Massive thankyou to Henry Eyebrows for the use of his mini track pump. Want one! Stopped and pumped a couple of times and limped on. Eventually on the embankment past the houses of parliment it went again so I dropped off with Kattiep and decided to stop and fix it. So we had a beer and a fag then changed the tyre and pumped it up and headed back towards Brixton. Just as we were rolling through Brixton I felt the front rim start to hit lumps and bumps... Another p*ncture... Stopped to work out what to do... Was considering walking... At the moment a cab appeared on the horizon and saved the day.
Got home and slept well, with dreams of bikes and lights (and a squeak, squeak, squeak)...
Off to work now :-(

T'was a jolly ride indeed, shame I didn't make it to biegels.
I think it should be renamed "those london lights and flanders style cobbles ride".
Nice to meet some new folk as well.

What was the general route? Any new undiscovered places of interest?

That was so much fun, thank you Phil and everyone else.
It really makes you appreciate London seeing it like that.A bit achy today and bloody tired, nothing countless cups of tea wont fix.

Thanks Phil, that was a really beautiful ride with really lovely people. It felt very special.
A real privilege to see London in that light.
Still can't believe that something as simple as riding through a tunnel late at night, very fast, over 'No cycling' signs could be so much fun. (Stairs at the end not fun!)
That salt beef beigel tasted sooo good!

Ha! Nerdy? I've still got the cribsheet to Pt1 stashed away somewhere...
Awesome ride, PhilJamas. All that meticulous planning obviously paid off! Good effort, sir, and dare I say it better than the last. Was lovely rolling on them quieter streets and getting to hear the river splashing against the river walls at the dead of night. Serene. The lights and views weren't bad either!
Ace riding with y'all last night. Looking forward to the next one!

You bastard..
I was reading all these reviews and smiling because I'd had the same experience last time. I was happy and safe in the knowledge that I hadn't missed much that I hadn't experienced before but now I'm annoyed I missed the ride. :(

Lovely, lovely ride last night. Low drama count, high sight count and a great group of forumengers to boot.
I love the fact that henry and I got hilariously lost after about 5 minutes of setting off. It was all in a good cause though p-0 chivalry is certainly not dead. Maybe I'll see Tron square next year.
Did anyone else think that the coppers on the ferry port were about to engage in some legal loving? They must have had a bit of a shock when we all rolled down.
And, seeing as he has just popped up, I have to mention Teddy's great sense of location: "I don't even know where we are", whilst standing directly underneath the tallest building in Britain. Love it.
thank you all so much for a lovely night. halfway around i thought "life is so good to me"
