Dark red/maroon fixed with black bullhorns, i think brakeless, being ridden fast down Magdalen St about 2pm today. Geezer was hooning it along!

Aha, love that verb Stu, and that was me! Speed a combination of the hill, the sun, and a tailwhind - great fun though. Not brakeless, but at the speed I was going I don't blame you for not noticing!

Nice! I thought it might have been. Did you take the white stickers off your frame?
Will shout 'do a skid!' if I see you again

No, they're still there, got new black wheels.black forks though, so the whole bike looks a lot darker. Aha, at that speed (and with my hit and miss technique) any attempt at skidding in spds would have been potentially disastrous - I would not want to pop out going at what felt like over 30mph!

Tighten your SPDs so they are hard to get out of...

I was just starting to get the hang of skidding on the bowery, can't skid for shit on the falcon now!
-
• #764
I just learnt full 180 degree skid to 180 slider out. Tech!

Nice! I spotted a guy on a black, four-pegged fgfs bike at the junction at toys r us a few weeks back, he had enormous stretched lobes (I got waaaay jealous as they were about 4 times bigger than mine!) You know him?
-
• #766
Yup, thats Dave. He is a good old boy. I am pretty sure his ears were 40mm at one point!
-
• #767
Pretty sure I've seen him around a few times, not with the bike though. What was it? looked like a bombtrack or something? Awh man, mine were 20 at their biggest, just recently re-stretched to 16 and I'm getting the bug again.

I switched my cleats round, as the left one was a bit more worn than the right, and that's helped a bit, but they're still at full tension and feel a bit wobbly - might just be time to buy a new set.

jdp: I asked cos the last time I was up that way was Friday. When I read '2 days ago' technically it would have been Saturday so I was a bit puzzled :-)

Specialized something in the work bike shed. Lots of upgraded looking Tiagra bits and Sugino Messenger chainring. If it's yours, clean your drivetrain!

Nice to meet Spiderpie today. I'll say it again.. Don't paint that frame!
-

Even if my wallet allowed it I think the general consensus is not to, so I'll leave it alone!
Followed and overtook a Langster with a very slack and rusty chain down Unthank this afternoon. Also saw the owner of that very yellow thing pushing it around uni. Shame.

Dunno if shames the word. Just anoter generic bike with a rider who doesnt give a fuck...
Rides and beer sounds good...will keep an eye on that thread!
Just changed the pedals to some Wellgo 998 items, couldn't get on with the horrible plastic strap in things the previous owner has fitted, they're SPD and flat so will see how I get on with them...
