Keppel's father on Hellesdon Low Road this afternoon. The man who got me into riding fixed!
-
• #289
God bless my dad, I also owe him for my love of riding!

Oh yes, rather silly on my part. Norwich luls you into a false sense of security with these things.
Getting on the case of building a new one now though ;-)

track frame, with brown charge saddle and bullhorns, locked outside catfish today. Rusty as fuck dropouts, but looked like a lot of fun!

I see loads of bikes now I walk to work, probably because they're usually behind me when I'm riding. Ahem.
Yesterday morning: Red/white Raleigh conversion
Yesterday afternoon: New looking Charge Plug outside Castle Mall (Cattle Market St entrance)
This morning: Something with a red frame / Blue dropsMorning bonus: A new Wilier (La Triestina I think) on Bank Plain, looks like someone got a Christmas bike.

There are shed loads of different bikes popping up outside the hospital. Most look dope!

Anyone else spotted the chap on a white/red langster? I've seen him near the bell but sometimes near zi zi's (where I passed him this morning)
-
• #295
I see a red/white Raleigh conversion in those areas but not a Langster to date.
Anyone know who rides the blue/white Create that seems to live on St Andrew's Plain? Often accompanied by a Bowery with yellow reflective strips on the frame and what looks like rear facing bullhorns?

Keppel's father going past Delaneys at lunch time!
-
• #297
Gav's Dad is the man. His bike looks tatty as fuck, but look closer and you see a real nice Carlton track frameset with detailed lugs that you don't see much of these days. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
-
• #298
Yep. I'm not sure, but I think that's the frame we pulled out of a skip for him! :)
-
• #299
Nice one. I remember a few years before the "hipster fixie boom" vintage road bikes were like shoppers or town bikes and abandoned left right and centre!
Saying that my mate pulled an Alan Carbonio out of the dump a year ago. Got about £400 for it on the gayBay!

You sound like an old man Mark! Back in my day.
London has Brick Lane, where most bikes seem to end up. I can't really think of anywhere like that in Norwich.
