  • Dibbs pm coming...

  • Just kidding :)

  • Crickey. It REALLY doesn’t take too much to get a serious rise out of some of you lot does it? I go off to the workshop for the day only to come home to find that I’ve initiated a complete car-crash of a reaction! At least it’s better than apathy I suppose.

OK, here it is. I’m a long time cyclist but a relative newbie on this forum. Believe it or not my primary purpose in posting here isn’t to piss people off. I’ve got something I might keep or sell and the price I was looking for is wrong in your opinion(s). Fine. What’s the problem? Some of the early reactions (Marcho) are reasonable and realistic. Then a bizarre mob mentality takes over like a fever. One person leads off with a bit of excess, then the floodgates open and the rest follow like sheep each one trying to trump the last. Cock fighting, pure and simple. This disproportionate avalache is a tendency that happens every now and then on this site and it must have a negative effect in the long run? Newbies will keep finding LFGSS and some will make basic errors and/or errors of judgement & if they just get flamed for it they’ll fuck off somewhere else and not come back. And eventually the clique will isolate itself; surely a bit of a tragedy in the long run?

In anticipation of a boringly predictable tide of further abuse and HTFU’s, I just want to state for the record that I’m not that bothered what some other people think (life’s too short) and I’m sure it won’t stop me coming back here and reading. As for the frame, if nobody else sees value in it then I’ll just ride it and enjoy it myself. I’ve given it enough time and attention already so it will be a pleasure. I just wanted to try and encourage the loudest shouters to keep their hair on. If I’ve helped some people to get rid of today’s ration of bile then maybe I’ve done something. Have a beer. Punch the wall. Anything, but keep life in perspective. It’s just a bike.

  • Definitely overpriced, but the flaming on this is just ridiculous, GHET A LYFE.

  • I only came to this thread 'cos I thought it might be a BSA Bantam... :-(

  • GHET A LYFE.

    Get a dictionary, weirdo.

  • I totally agree with whoever posted immediately before me.

  • the 'unique' relaxing ride **that's impossible to turn at high speed. **

Pure EdTrueTrackGeometryScoblism. I ride a long wheelbase/relaxed angles/scaffolding tubing frame on a daily basis and I can assure you that I have no issue cornering at speed (follow me back from Norths on a Tuesday for a demo). It's stable and predictable. It's not nimble though and it's at low speed, when filtering through traffic for example that the handling isn't ideal.

  • By diffcuilt to turn, I mean understeer. When I was 'racing' with my missus on my dutch bike and she was riding her light singlespeed bike, I almost managed to crash because I couldn't turn the dutch bike hard enough to take the tight almost 90 degree corner while she overtook me on the corner faster with some kind of gracefulness's.

are we talking about these kind of geometry?

  • Understeer makes more sense indeed. That's the frame BTW

  • I think the person who posted "ghet a lyfe" was tring to express a vernacular
pronunciation of "get a life" possibly to imitate a West country accent or North country accent I'm not sure which.

    Get a dictionary, weirdo.

As people say on here.....soz if I missed sumfin'.....

  • Herohirst ,you havent been a member here for very long, dont take it personally.but this would happen to a long existing well thought of member of this forum if they tried to sell on here a FIAT at FERRARI prices.

  • I know they are different sizes but
this is nice...the detail on the headlug is good and although the forks are not original I think they suit the frame..

    I like black track bikes.

  • Bugger me that EWH is nice

then your shit and a bird beat you home.

HA, what a CNUT. After realizing he's no good at selling dead horses, he turns to lecturing instead.

    Enjoy your frame
