So how was the throw-in tourney?
-
• #33
8 teams in total (Although one team left after 3 games and another had to get a sub as one of their players left).
London had players in the 1st(Apples) & 2nd(Cosmic) teams.
B & Taka came fourth. -

What's the plan for NY party/tourney in Amsterdam? Sounds interesting...

Drink, smoke & play polo. Sleep. Repeat -
• #36
£130 for flight (possibly plus £30 for bike),
£80 for eurobus,
£74 for trains and night boat (plus $14 for bike).
£110 for Eurostar and Brussels to Amsterdam IC train.Any other options for travel?
-
• #37
is there any plan there for a throw-in tourney on NYE ?
-
• #38
trains and night boat sounds most fun! (Also cheapest)
-
• #39
It's probably the easiest option too, they organise everything for you (time-wise) online and are bike friendly. Door to door seems to be 12 hours though?
-
• #40
hoek van holland to amsterdam with a bike in the train is not cheap, or is that allready in the price?
-
• #41
Couple of beers + summat to eat + a quick snooze = wake up in Amsterdam
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
-
• #42
There is an option for adding a bike on the site.
I assumed the connecting trains (that they book for you) allow bikes as you pay £14 extra for bike carriage? It seems daft for that to solely be a cost for the boat part? Will look into it a bit more...

I found BA flights for £115.
Provided you don't take obscene amounts of stuff on top of your bike you'll be below your baggage allowance
I should point out that my mountain bike with three days worth of stuff and sleeping bag came in at less than the BA allowance.

You can take the night ferry (done this before). Saves travel time. Travelling that long during the day seems like a waste of precious polo time!
-
• #45
Wow, you're right, BA has some cheap seats left.
(If leaving on Friday 1st and back Monday 4th it's £88!)Em, you've failed to remember that my bike weighs around 115kg, heaviest bike in polo.

My tyres alone are 5.28lb
I wish I could come back on the 4th (Fucking work).
-
• #47
Who's in then, I think Ali and I (Ray you in?) are booking this tonight, list time?
I'm doing NYE in London, then the crazy early flight NY's day, polo Saturday/Sunday, back on Monday... sweet.
