  • That bedroom became the "bikeatorium".

That reminds me of the Karen's *"shit room" *from Pulling

  • I've got 4 beauties hanging of Da Vinci hooks dotted around my living room. Tiny room, looks like a bike shed with a sofa in it.

  • I keep mine in the garage but am thinking I may be missing out on something here. If I were to take one to bed with me, would my missus get jealous and increase my 'favours' allowance to fight off the obvious threat for my attention?

  • Mine live in the corridor :-)

  • Every day bike = hall
Wifes MTB = in the shed
    My MTB = laundry room
Singlespeed (soon to be re-geared) = Laundry room
    Supergoose = Laundry room
    Classic 80's Moser = Shed.

New shed on its way to accomodate all bikes & tools plus turbo trainer etc.

  • I've got one under the stairs and one leaning against the stairs. The gf keeps both of hers in the kitchen and then we also keep another five in the shed as well as my unicycle.

  • This has kinda been covered before, mainly in the 'Cycle Hooks' sale thread, and in some other storage option threads.

    http://www.londonfgss.com/thread2077.html

That being said,, here's a pic of where I store mine. (Two of these have now gone tho, one sold, one returned to George Sportif)

    Win

Mine live in the corridor :-)

Win/lose at getting top one down

  • Win/lose at getting top one down

I'm sure he has some trouble getting it up too.

    Hur hur hur.

  • a well-placed toss should do it

  • ladder...

  • Surprises me how many people don't lock up their bikes at home, in communal hallways, sheds etc..

  • why would I?
If they can get into my home then they'll find the keys for the bike locks.

  • Front room (normally in front of my records) if I'm lazy or the spare room if I'm not...

  • 3 in hallway, son's MTB in living room along with my new road frame. Friend's hybrid in kitchen awaiting me finishing repairing it. I have a garage I don't use 'cos it''s full of fucking spiders.

  • Keep them in the kids' bedroom.

  • why would I?
If they can get into my home then they'll find the keys for the bike locks.

Why make it easy for someone?
Keys you don't have on your keyring just go in some obscure drawer.
Check the stolen bikes thread for countless examples of some scum on the burg getting a free bike to ride away on as well.

  • Surprises me how many people don't lock up their bikes at home, in communal hallways, sheds etc..

I notice that this is only necessary if you live in the E1 postcode.

I could be wrong thought, I only notice this happen quite frequency in the E1 area, it's one of those precaution that you shouldn't have to take in the first place.

  • Mine is outside locked and covered overnight. The wife keeps hers in the communal hallway. I'd prefer to keep both inside but the flat is way too small.

  • you need to work on your priorities, sir.

    :P

  • I hope you are a better cyclist than a designer.

  • Cupboard under the stairs fits both of mine in. It's like a bike shed inside - win for me.

  • I never store my bikes, they are always in use.

  • Nestled snugly between the bandsaw and thickness sander in the workshop...

  • I'm looking at a way of sorting this out.

    Currently:

    In the hall, GF's bike
    In the kitchen, my fixed
In the study, my road bike, mountain bike, GF's roadbike

When we went to see a possible flat to buy last Saturday me Julie pointed out that with such high ceilings we could hang all the bikes on the wall around the sitting room.
