wibble, the only reason I suggested it is that it is potentially a cheap and effortless fix, if it works. Better than jumping through warranty hoops at any rate.
However I have no first hand experience of this problem.

The note is meant to be good for that, see 90% of GA2Gs posts in here.

Isn't GA2G an official Samsung spokesperson though? ;)

Just for the note, I believe.

How long until a replacement for the Nexus is out?
Basically I'm tempted to buy something next month but I don't want to regret it when something better gets released a month later.
I do want the Note 2 but I have midget hands.

Takes a bit of getting used to and the tutorial in phone isn't very clear. I found this guide very helpful and mastered it in an evening

How well do they hold their value?
£315 now, £200 in November??

Sounds about right.

Can a Galaxy Note owner tell me how good it is to use for scribbling notes on? I am getting my choice of work phone in the next couple of weeks and am fed up of carrying handwritten notes round on scraps of paper and invariably losing them before plugging them into evernote, so the Note seems like a good idea.
Had mine for ten days, as Ga2G says use a tutorial and practise. It's surprisingly good.

Sounds like a win. It'll make it look bigger.

I've had a go with the handwriting recognition- it's pretty good, however I found it annoying to have to hit the button for "space", is there a way of making the Note spot that a large gap between words indicates that they should be seperated?

That is the thing, I don't want handwriting recognition, I just want to be able to write on it like a normal note pad.

Pretend it's a Nexus 7?

That's much easier- just hit "note icon" with the dibber, and away you go.
It's a great bit of kit, albeit as a second device- mine lives in my bag, with calls diverting to my iPhone.
I use the Note for browsing, email, web etc and as an access point when needed.

You are welcome to have a play with my Note, should you find yourself in EC1 at some point during the week.

Very tempted by the Nexus 7. Not sure though. Either that or the obvious iPad. Nexus is dirt cheap. iPad has that amazing screen and better apps. So difficult to decide!

Just been playing with a nexus 7, great screen, super speedy... But lack of flash support totally kills it me
-
• #8248
but flash is a dead end product? Even adobe are slowly killing it
-
• #8249
for that matter, what do you need flash for ? I hardly see it these days

Nexus is the winner imo, costs less than half the price. Screen is still great on the nexus.
