That sounds more like a network issue than a handset issue- have any of the network forums reported the problem at the same time as you have experienced it?

My ex's Desire sometimes repeats text previously sent days earlier.

^^ This.
It's usually network related.
Then again, we have a range of phones in the office and some (not naming names) will fail to get SMS updates in a timely way when the phone is connected to WiFi. Shouldn't be related, but it is.
So if you have WiFi enabled, consider disabling it when you're not needing to use it for data stuff so that the telecoms works better. Stupid, I realise.

The internet reported the same problem with htcs. Shoddy Android update or something. But I did the data thingy and it seems to be working OK now.

Switched to Android as well (Nexus). Only one handset for now - the other is still an iPhone.
It's better be worth it.
I just wanted better G+ integration. -

I haven't had a play with the Sensation but I'm loving the SGS2. The HTC is a bit burlier than the Samsung - which could be a plus - but I like the slimmer form factor and although some say it feels flimsy, it holds up well in drop tests etc..
Specs wise the SGS2 tips it - the Exynos processor performs considerably better than the HTC's Snapdragon in benchmarks, and the SGS2 radio will do 21Mbps where the HTC "only" manages 14.4.

^^^^^^^^^ Exactly why I own the Galaxy II S and not the Sensation. Also, EVERY independent review gives the Galaxy II S the nod in straight comparisons with the Sensation. Can ALL the reviews be wrong? Maybe, but not from where I sit.

Who gives a fuck? At the end of the day, it's only a fucking phone, Ashe...
I don't feel so comfortable with the idea re-installing the OS on my phone, knowing myself this will lead to bugs, crashes, etc... Is there any simpler way?
Bollocks I hate technology... Never works.
